Called into this garage today for what I thought would be a puncture repair. I was told very quickly that there were no puncture repairs until Monday. Went to the Ford garage on Edinburgh Road and the helpful staff there diagnosed that a new tyre was required, but unfortunately they didn't have any in stock. No problem I thought I would return to JRD garage who advertise themselves as German tyre specialists and I own a German car. On returning to the garage I explained that I needed a new tyre and was told immediately by the 'boss' that he couldn't help me without even enquiring what size or type of tyre I was looking for. Seemed to be more interested in his lunch than helping a potential customer. Luckily it was a run flat tyre which allowed us to drive to Edinburgh to National Tyre Service where the polite , helpful and professional staff fitted a new tyre within the hour. Don't waste your time dealing with this garage - especially at lunchtime!!!!!!

Quoted 600+ quid for a rear brake disc and maybe a caliper on an Audi a4 went to a garage in Earlston £250. Sad to see a local garage do this to another local resident. Wouldn?t reccomend for mot.

Delighted with the service from this garage. I was concerned about an issue with my car. It was booked in within days. Friendly staff quickly diagnosed the issue and the 4 new tyres required were fitted the next day. I'll be back for it's next service and mot ?.

An absolute gem of a garage! Great service and fair price. Even squeezed me in last winter when I had a puncture and every other garage had a wait of 2 weeks. Highly recommend!

Great garage,amazingly friendly,it was no problem to jump-start our car even when we were down the road fir free ,saved me another time when caught short walking in the park,lets just say it would have been very messy without allowing me to use the ? loo??cheers guys

Good garage. Used them lots. They did put some tyres on the wrong way round once (think it was a young / new guy) but quickly resolved and offered some money off next job. Good service and decent prices ?

Was very disappointed with the service they provided. I had originally asked for a full diagnosis to help identify a cause to my issue with my vehicle. They identified a possible failure and arranged to fix it. However after this did not work I discovered they had failed to identify a very obvious fault that should have been caught by the full diagnostics. I can only guess they were trying to save time by had not inspecting properly and had jumped to conclusions before starting a new job.When challenged on this it was clear they did not have an answer as it should have been found on the full diagnostics as it was at another garage.Overall I was really disappointed with the service and would not recommend them.

Had an appointment to drop off my car to be serviced. When I got there just before 9am I was turned away. Steve I think his name is said to me that he can't keep a space open for me so late in the morning. Well, he could have told me that but didnt on the phonecall. As I had said to him I was in the area all day at work, and can pick up the car at any point. His mechanic was sitting in the office behind him with a smile on his face, hands clasped and saying nothing. Also, when I initially phoned and asked prices he said to me "So your needing a service on the cheap?". All because I asked prices of servicing. I think its very possible he had a job come in.... and he decided to fill my space. And if JRD read this I'd like to say not to bother offering a chance to apologise to me. What you did was deliberate. I hope potential customers read this and know what theyre in for.
