We went for lunch with a couple of friends. The inside is small with only one table for 4 people and was packed full when we arrived at 11:45. Table for four became available fairly quickly. So glad the Buck tearoom is now open under new management. Excellent food and lovely staff and it can only get better once the last renovations are completed when more items are added to the menu.

Lovely new owners from August 2025! Great range of scones and cakes. Lovely soups and amazing sandwiches. This is a great tearoom and will be a tremendous attraction in Straiton for years to come.

Welcome to The Buck!
A lovely, cosy tearoom and art gallery in the beautiful village of Straiton. Situated in the beautiful hills of South Ayrshire, The Buck is a perfect stop in your cycling trip or on one of the many hikes around here (it IS rambler territory here!).
We serve good and honest coffees, a wide variety of loose-leaf teas and we have a small but good selection of homemade cakes and scones, including vegan and gluten-free options.
All made with organic ingredients and lots of love!
Café The Buck also has quite a selection of various art exhibited and some lovely craft items as well. Perfect for a unique gift or to beautify your own home!
