When is a hotel not a hotel?
Well quite frankly when it can't provide the basic facilities that are standard...such as pillows!
Believe it not after booking into the Travel lodge Glasgow airport we found we only had two micro sized pillows on the bed ..we found an even smaller one in the cupboard but when we asked reception for another we were told there was none left..I said..what no pillows in the whole hotel...yes she said we are full and there are no pillows.
It was obvious she just couldn't be bothered to go and get one and to be fair she seemed to be the only one on in a very busy night..but I'm sorry that is no excuse.
Pillows are a basic. And it isn't like we paid a miniscule fee. We paid £100 for the pleasure of getting a crick in out necks and no sleep in time for our early flight the next day.
To add insult to injury the receptionist was as blunt as one of the travel lodge own breakfast knives and had zero customer relation skills. She was abrasive and blunt...not really what we signed up for. On a more serious note the security lock on the door was broken and the hole filled in with toilet paper and the lock on the door handle didn't work either. A bit serious for single woman travellers and families. Poor show Travel Lodge..we use you regularly as we have a dog and Glasgow has to rank as your most customer unfriendly venues yet.

Great location for the airport and near by parking, staff friendly and rooms very clean.

Room was great but as an American I don't expect to have to pay to park in an expensive hotel and to have to pay for wifi as well.

Does the job for a stop over before early morning flights. Basic but clean rooms. Not noisy, everything you'd need

Awful experience.
Three friends and I ? 18 & 17 ? booked a family room for one night on the 12th August 2025 prior to our flight early the next morning. We arrived at 9pm and were immediately met with an unpleasant attitude from the members of staff at the check-in desk.
We were told, despite it being completely unclear during booking, that we were unable to stay together in the room as my two 17 year old friends were considered adults. We asked to pay for a separate room and were denied. They then proceeded to tell us that 3 of us could stay in the room but that one of us would have to go elsewhere.
Obviously, as a group of young girls, this was not a safe option nor one we could even consider. We were then told that we were unable to stay but that we were unlikely to find somewhere.
During this encounter, both members of staff on the desk ? Michelle and another woman ? were incredibly disrespectful, angry, and unsympathetic when they could see that we were clearly distressed.
However, the moment one of our parents called to understand what was wrong with our booking, their attitudes changed. The issue was somehow magically resolved when they spoke to someone who they viewed as an adult and we were allowed into the room.
Throughout this, Michelle was adamant that her manager would not allow us into the room. However, when she *actually* spoke to him, he could not have cared less as he was preparing to clock off for the night.
The room itself was satisfactory as a place to sleep but was fairly cramped and slightly musty. There was also a lack of plug sockets too which was an issue.
Overall, our experience was abhorrent and I would not recommend this Travel Lodge to anyone. The managing staff need to take a firm look at the attitudes of their employees.

Only a few minutes walk from the terminal. A great value stopover for early departures or late arrivals. Standard zTravelodge accommodation but staff are exceptional and live up to the reputation of Glasgow as a very exceptionally welcoming place

Hotel needs a face-lift. Our room had a bathroom door that didn't open properly and it could only be closed by slamming it. The lock on the security door to our corridor didn't work properly. Hotel is a good 15 walk from arrivals when pushing cases.

Check-in was friendly and efficient. The bedroom was clean and comfortable but was a bit short of plug sockets (none by the bed) and a little dated in its appearance - but perfectly adequate for a one-night stay before flying.
Evening meals in the bar were tasty and good value as a pre-booked meal deal.
The breakfast selection was good, and a warm greeting was given by the duty manager.
The hotel is an 8-10 minute walk from the terminal building, through the mid-stay car park

Massive massive thank you to Sandra for her incredible support when we were having a problem. I was travelling in a group of 4 18year old girls and our easyJet plane got downgraded and they didn?t book us enough accommodation so we were stranded in Glasgow and Sandra was so compassionate and helpful making sure that we were all okay and trying to help us find other accommodation as there were no rooms available for the night. We really appreciate her kindness!

Eff this hotel. My husband and I stayed here just for one night on our honeymoon between destinations. We had a 13 hour travel day and the last train (over 5 hours long) had no food on it!! We were starving. After being dropped off a mile away and having to walk to the hotel we ordered Pizza Hut to be delivered. The hotel told us they won?t accept food and we had to wait in the lobby for it. After waiting 45 minutes we called them and they said they won?t deliver it. So my husband walked to the nearest gas station and saw they had frozen meals. There was no microwave in the room or lobby so I asked the front desk and the lady replied ?not that we?d let you use? how rude do you have to be? Just say no. The WiFi is only free for 30 minutes then it cuts your phone off and there was only one plug in the room. Save yourself the trouble and stay at the Marriott across the street
