Stayed here on a business trip, the staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable but a little dated, the restaurant linked to the hotel is nice, but food isn?t the best. unfortunately the hotel is located directly under the flight path for Glasgow airport so you WILL be woken up just after 6am with the 1st flight and the last flight leaves around 10.40pm so don?t expect a lye in or an early night as you won?t get any sleep

Perfect location as not far from airport parking, literally 5mins away

As good a premier inn as I have stayed in.

No air conditioning so very hot, had to leave window open. Noisy due to aeroplanes. Plug in sink not working. Clean, cosy, basic but good location.

I stayed on a Sunday night and was advised the restaurant was not open, but I could go to a local fast food restaurant or have a delivery.
The person on the floor above was up and down through the night banging around eventually spoke with reception who advised it was an elderly lady who was unsteady on her feet, why not put her on the ground floor if that was the case.
The breakfast left much to be desired, it had been sat out under heaters and was dry and unappetising, the coffee machine was out of order too.
The TV adverts over promise on your experience, was advised that premier in has changed is business model, a terrible experience.
Rooms: Adequate.
Safety: Good
Food and drinks: Awful

Standard rooms, location is a bit out of the way but fine if you have a car. Staff very cheery and helpful.
Walkability: There is a Costa coffee shop in walking distance but not much else except car sales forecourts.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. We arrived 10 minutes before 3 pm check-in time and were told if we wanted to check in we had to pay a £10 early check-in fee !!!. Then, as if on cue several staff appeared in the lobby and along with the receptionist, went outside to smoke and vape at the doorway. VERY unprofessional. The lobby was left unmanned. The next problem was the restaurant. We were told that due to staff sickness, the restaurant was closed for the night!!!
Fortunately, there was a pub/restaurant called the Marmalade Pot 5 minutes walk from the premier inn. It was much cheaper than the brewers fayre would have been, and it was good.
For the service we received this Premier Inn was very expensive. The rooms are standard and clean but the customer care is dire.
Food and drinks: Not available. Even the vending machines were empty.

Near to Glasgow Airport. Check in not professional. Told at 14.50pm that we'd have to pay £10 to Checkin 10 minutes early. Staff were going outside for a smoke and didn't appear to want to check us in. Never experienced such a policy!!!
Room comfortable. No A/C but fan. On site restaurant bar closed. Nearby [5mins walk] is Marmalade Pot pub with very reasonable price food and drink. Asda 2 minutes drive 10 mins walk.

Im a bit biased because I was one of the head housekeepers
When I worked there
There were 2 head housekeepers and 1 managing housekeeper . We won the top award for the hotel of the year 2 years in a row .
You can always tell if the sheets are clean on the beds as you can see the creases running like blades, and if they have not been changed, the sheets are pulled taute , same with the duvet covers.
I can tell you a load of tricks that housekeepers know if the rooms are cleaned properly , and rooms, curtains ,throws, and windows are deep cleaned on a regular basis .
It is based in Linwood, not Paisley or Glasgow.
Though the Glasgow airport has low flying planes going over the hotel, they are made aware of the airport being a bit noisy at the time of booking .
The first flight takes off at around 7.30 am going to London for work ( hence the early breakfast ). However, there are 2 jumbo jets landing at around 5am. for connection flights that may be the flights going to London and Ireland.
During holiday periods, the airport flights take off every 6 minutes for around 2 hours, that's when the flights have got more people flying to Greece, and Spain destinations .
The flights are quiet between 4 pm and 8
pm .
The hotel has a well stocked bar that serves the public , and
Residents can take their drinks and food to their rooms through an adjoining door with their keys .
A few years ago, when auditions for the X Factor were held in Glasgow, the whole hotel was booked up 3 years in a row with the camera crew and the folk that was invited to audition for the show.
Now, I was not told at the time who or why they were staying there, but you couldn't move anything, ( eg, in a hotel, you can't move a book lying on the floor or even a pair of trousers , if they leave articles lying on table tops you had to hoover and dust around them )
So you can imagine what it is like working there for a whole month with people coming to stay from Ireland and other countries that were flying in for auditions .
Many famous people must have walked through the hotel.
Rooms: Clean to a high standard. You could say I was on a bussmans holiday, I now work in a hotel in Glasgow city centre.
I was staying there with my 2 sons while my house was getting decorated.
They have built an extension to the hotel since I worked there .
Nearby activities: There are no nearby activities unless you like shopping . There is what is considered a play area at the end of Toys' R' Us . But it's only there for display.
I've seen young children trying to use the display, but it has ended in tears as the shop has put a padlock on a gate recently, as they got fed up with mum's and dad's letting their children play on the display, the staff were getting not so nice words from their customers after shopping at their store ? ? and then telling their children they can no longer play there.
There is also the cinema that is on the same path as Burger King ? ? . Not
Walkability: You can follow a path that is a quarter of a mile to Burger King ,and if you're willing to chance crossing busy roads, there is a Harvester Restaurant. It's a slip road going on to the M8 , and another busy road that takes you to McDonald's and the Pheonex retail park where once you cross the road, you have lots of shops, Argos ,B&Ms , toys are us , Asda , the Oxfam charity shop,
( That is more expensive than a designer shop) you can also buy cars at Arnold Clark , Toyota, and another 2 car shops , ( saves you money if you buy a car to take you back to the hotel via the slip road) and the retail park goes round in a horseshoe shape so cars and taxis can get in and out of the retail park easily .
It's not so good if you're walking as the car park is

Room over warm but otherwise satisfactory. However restaurant next door was closed the evening we arrived, which was an inconvenience.

The restaurant is now only open to hotel guests.

Good hotel. Friendly welcome. Clean and comfortable rooms. Good quality bedding. Many shops nearby. On the other hand, the establishment is poorly served by public transport (you have to walk ten minutes to reach a bus stop).

Often stay here but on last occasion some inconsiderate ********* decided to start stomping up and down at ten pm in the room above and didn't stop until 11.30.
