We do use this place to buy stuff for our pets but on my latest visit I was horrified at the treatment of their rats. We have had rats and know what they need but these poor boys were in a cage that was far too small, they had next to no enrichment, were using their water bottles to climb on as not only was this one of the few things in their with them it was the only way they could get up and into their hammock. They were also fully grown and not babies so it made the space even less acceptable for them. The glass of the cage was also splattered with their own poo. Virtually no bedding for them hardly any hay for them to forage. When I asked the manager if he could at least put something else in the cage for them to climb and some more stuff for them on the base of the cage he refused said they were meeting the bare minimum care required and didn?t have to do more which tells you all you need to know. Shameful

Store is amazing and the colleagues who work in store are fantastic and always willing to do their best to help. Also love the fact theirs kids animal workshops available on the school holidays for a wee 30mins getting to pet and see the animals up close. The new layout has so much more choice for dogs and cats.

I don't know about the rest of the animals but when it comes to fish, there is nothing interesting and the staff has rather poor knowledge on the subject. Buy somewhere else.I didn't buy anything there for other animals but DON'T BUY FISH THERE they sell sick specimens max after a week 90% will die

First time in this store brilliant customer service didn't catch their names but the man who gave me advice on my rescue dogs harness and signed me up for the vip card was absolutely lovely credit to your shop definitely be back.

Please be aware that there is a MAXIMUM parking time here-3 hrs.
We went to buy a suite here as there were at least 6+ shops that sell furniture. As you can imagine it takes a while to choose and things are so expensive.
We never saw any signs saying max 3 hrs. 2 weeks later a parking fine from pvt group Group Nexus- £60!!!!
No store advised us or mentioned this.
Car park was about 1/6 full on a Saturday!!!!
I will never go here again and if you do please be aware of time restrictions.

Usually come here for petfood for our cats as a little cheaper than supermarkets, and good big bags of 'James Wellbeloved'. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.
However, the cat toys are lack luster(for petsathome generally). It would be good if they could get a newer selection, or more varied selection.

Plenty parking, slightly different layout to my 2 more local stores. Had to ask for Snake food from a store dude, who was very nice and sorted it out immediately. I've noticed a few of these stores keep their frozen rodents round the back and you need to ask for it.

Picked up some fish last week which to my disappointment 3 of the scissortail rasbora have died. The tank is well cycled and definitely enough room in my tank. everything else is fine but having to treat the whole tank incase it was disease that wiped them out. I pointed out to the girl who served me that they had a dead fish in another tank and was told she would get it but she walked off not even bothering to look. Disappointed to say the least . I'll be using a quarantine tank from now on but still quite disappointing that the fish lasted a week.
This store is quite good for things for our kitten but won't be buying from this store again.
