Our family friend unfortunately passed away unexpectedly leaving his beloved pets to find homes for: 3 dogs, a wee rabbit and 4 guineapigs. Pets At Home IRVINE have taken in the 4 wee guineapigs: Dave, Jack, Berry and Fudge, and will look after their best interests by first seeing a vet. We can't thank them enough. They have given the family peace of mind to deal with their grief and allows them to focus on the other pets' welfare. Thank you x

Bit limited on everything we were looking for. Staff were a bit droll so went to the one in Paisley who were very helpful and got everything we required

I don't know about the rest of the animals but when it comes to fish it's poor there's nothing interesting and the staff has rather poor knowledge on the subject. Buy somewhere else. They're cleaning something there now but earlier I saw fish with visible symptoms of fungus and the staff didn't pay attention to it. I took a chance and bought 6 neons, 4 died and I infected the whole aquarium. Never again

Shocking the lack of knowledge the 'manager' as I was so reminded, has about fish. To try and correct me on my FACTS over his opinion is bad enough but to then ask me to describe employees that have served me before so he can have a "word with her since he is the manager". He didn't seem to understand cohabiting aquatic pets and their behaviours. Not understanding what aquatic pets can and cannot live together. Just because you do not have mixed fish in your tiny tanks, does not mean they cannot be together. Have your fish in better acquainted and put together tanks before trying to correct actual facts. I'm glad he refused my sales as now I know I would have been funding people who do not have the knowledge to look after animals correctly. The arrogance Mr big boots had about his position in the store seemed more important than actually listening to someone with knowledge on a hobby that has been ongoing for years. With education.

to someone new at keeping pets, especially fish. this store seems knowledgeable but sad fact is they are not. ask any long term fish keeper and they'll tell you to stay clear. their fish are kept in poor conditions and some staff lack serious knowledge. I visited due to convenience at the time and only needed some female fish. The lack of knowledge was dreadful and I was actually refused a sale due to the managers opinion over what is fact. he didn't seem to understand how aquatic creatures can co habbit and was more concerned about flexing his managerial position and wanted to "talk" to another member of staff for selling fish to me before. I have a well established tank with long term tank mates that can and will live together happily. the manager didn't like my tank set up (large happy tank) because 'he' didn't 'think' it was right. sorry but opinion and facts should be kept separate. as I've said, experienced fish keepers stay clear and would advise you to stay clear. they have fish in the wrong water temperature, their fish are always sick, kept in poor conditions, are expensive and would sell unknowingly new fish keepers the wrong items. I'm glad he refused my sale. it cemented my views and won't be returning for any of my pets.
check out local fish keepers. you'll get cheaper fish, sold by experienced keepers and your fish will be healthy and of better parentage.
I'm glad you're a manager and making a living. but best update your knowledge before swinging your position l about.
