The food is delicious and little pricey but you get what you pay for.
It's always different staff when you go in so sometimes the service may not be 100% but the staff are always very friendly.

An absolute gem. Cycled to Bowling from Glasgow and had heard about a lovely place on the trail, so stopped for some lunch. The food was delicious, we got the haggis and cheese focaccia and the cajun chicken bloomer, and both were very nice. And all the staff were very friendly and helpful. And in such a pretty place by the canal. If I?m back in Bowling, I?ll definitely be making another stop here!

I must apologise to the staff because I really should have sent back the?bruschetta? I was served
It was basically a piece of soggy bread swimming in basil mayonnaise with a lot of cherry tomatoes
I was hungry but I should have refused it
DO NOT order the bruschetta!

Wow. 10/10 - the level service was incredible - the girl that welcomed us and served us throughout was so bubbly, welcoming, polite, and attentive!
We ordered a couple of coffees, a roll, and a cake, and all were served really quickly. We used the toilets too, which were absolutely pristine!
I can?t recommend highly enough, and we?ll be back!

Just had an early lunch here. The Tomato, Basil and Truffle Cheese soup was, and I don't use this word lightly, exquisite.
Friendly service added to our enjoyment of our first visit.

Had just been reminiscing about ploughman's lunches earlier in the day, so when I spotted it on the menu I had to order. Very fresh, really tasty, good portions, friendly service. Might go back tomorrow for breakfast on the way home. Thanks guys.

We visited this café hoping for a quick takeaway coffee and ended up waiting outside for over 20 minutes for two drinks, despite the place not being particularly busy. The cakes we purchased were average at best ? dry and lacking flavour ? but far more concerning was what we witnessed while waiting.
The chef, clearly visible from the counter, blew his nose over the food prep area, wiped his face with his hands, and then used the same cloth to wipe down the counters. At no point did he wash his hands. We raised our concerns with the server, who acknowledged our comment but took no action and said nothing to the chef.
Frankly, the hygiene standards are unacceptable and have left us deeply concerned. We will be contacting environmental health, as what we saw goes far beyond a simple lapse in cleanliness.
Avoid until significant improvements are made.

It's a very nice small cafe, The food is very good, cooked fresh, due to it being a popular cafe, if you go later in the day, your choice might be limited.
