Rooms where tidy and comfortable. Great location. Only issue I would say was at breakfast time got asked if we wanted tea/coffee but was not told that it was a help yourself breakfast. Found a hair in my coffee cup which also put me off.

Lovely quiet room. Nice bathroom although shower cubicle is a tight fit when your 6'3 and 18st haha Lovely little room for an overnight stay.Walkability: In the heart of the town and walking distance to Food and Drink and also the Pier and Promenade are just a couple of minutes walk away.

I had a very pleasant stay at The Scot. The hotel is lovely and I was impressed with the cleanliness and comfort my double room provided. Bathroom/shower were also high quality.The bar and reception area are very welcoming and the staff member I dealt with - American lady with red hair, sorry didn't catch her name - was very helpful and professional.All in all a good experience and I'd recommend staying here to anyone travelling to Oban.

Ideal for a one or two night visit, rooms basic but clean enough, no issues.Parking at rear of hotel is fine but spaces are limited.Nice lounge .

Ideal central location in downtown Oban for exploring. Nice hotel but not ideal for the less mobile guests, no lifts available. Nice bar and lounge area for a drink, but no draft available ?

I stayed here for 3 nights with a travel group from the states. I had a lovely time! The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were kind. Laura went above and beyond for me and was an absolute delight. It's important to note that there is no elevator/lift, which is common enough, just important to plan for!

Great value, hotel! Comfortable, clean rooms, good buffet breakfast set up with plenty choice , nice bar and lounge area.Helpful and friendly staff. Dont be put off by reviews mentioning no lift. We emailed ahead and asked for a first-floor room, which was duly accommodated. Also, the check-in staff offered to help with luggage. Just ask or request ahead of stay, and they will do what they can.Location was ideal, just a short walk up from North Pier and the harbour front with pubs and restaurants.Mentions to Olivia, who was very helpful in organising our stay and chap (didn't catch his name, sorry) on reception when we arrived who was friendly and welcoming, remembered us later that night in the bar and made sure we did not miss out on our included drinks ?Nearby activities: The Oban Distillery -get a tour with Mike.Ganavan Sands- easy walk and lovely little spot just before at Greenacre Bay.Oban Bay Sea Tours- good 2 hr trip out past Kerrera to Lismore, Mull and back.

Cheaply run and understaffed. No wash clothes in bath. No water glasses in room. One push button coffee machine for entire restaurant. No elevator in 3 story hotel. Keep looking. No bar Friday evening. Because no one there that could serve alcohol.

Nice hotel. Central. Lovely obliging young staff, breakfasts were excellent but why on earth are they allowed to build a multi storey hotel with no lift. Very disappointing.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We had an early start so we asked for a packed breakfast - which they were happy to provide. Egg and bacon sandwiches to take away!Unfortunately there is no lift so getting around was tricky for my mobility impaired parents.Also there is no evening restaurant which was rather disappointing. We saw some guests eating takeout in the lobby area!The fixtures and fittings all seemed new including carpets throughout.Rooms: Clean and well maintained. Great shower.Walkability: Convenient location close to the center.Food & drinks: No dinner restaurant - though breakfast was great.

The room and its facilities were excellent: the bathroom to be commended: modern and user friendly. Breakfast very good as well. While the hotel does not offer a dinner option, there are good opportunities nearby. Thank you to the very helpful staff.

Very clean, renovated in 2020, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast had a.good selection of coffees and food. Perfect location to walk around town - nothing negative to say about our stay, it was quite pleasant!

Fabulous location easy walk to seafront and town. Rooms very clean, bed very comfortable. There was a buffet breakfast available which was sufficient. Off street car parking was an added bonus. All in all no complaints and would have no hesitation in returning.
