The hotel is lovely with comfortable rooms, gorgeous views, and tons of charm. The restaurant also looked and smelled amazing, though we didn't eat there. But the thing that really made our stay one of the best parts of our Scottish vacation was the delightful staff. We had such a fun evening chatting, laughing, and learning about whiskies and local gins with David, who seamlessly floated between serving multiple guests and entertaining us with banter and recommendations galore. Cheers, David. An absolute pro. Thanks to Steven as well, who was also a delight to chat with and who also had great, informed recommendations for us to help us get the most of our remaining time in Scotland. Keep up the excellent work and the fun, gents.If you're going to Oban, stay at the Manor house and spend some time at the bar and/or restaurant getting to know the truly excellent staff. You won't regret it.

We'd hoped to stay here but no rooms fit our dates so second best was to visit their restaurant, which is outstanding. Loved the fact that we were seated in the lounge to enjoy a drink, ordered at leisure in there, then called to the table when our first course was ready to be served. A simple gesture most restaurants aren't able to offer. I had a gin and tonic with Orkney Old Tom Rhubarb Gin that was a revelation to me, causing me to Google the history of Old Tom in the gin industry. What fun! Food was amazing (menu attached) in a wonderfully cozy yet classy room. Had a peach pavlova for dessert because hey, I'd never had one before! Heartily recommend!

Old run down hotel our bedroom was smelly and a strip off wallpaper was hanging off wall looked like it hadn?t been decorated for about 30 years at least and the mattress was solid and the base of the bed I slept in rocked from side to side the breakfast was disgusting very poor quality food and they also charged £6 per day to park in the hotel

What an incredible hotel! Our experience at The Manor House was exceptional. The attentive service, outstanding restaurant, and cozy rooms combine to make this beachfront hotel in a serene area, just a short walk from Oban city center, the perfect option for anyone staying in or around Oban. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

The staff was extraordinarily kind and helpful. We arrived near 8pm after a long day of driving and were worried about missing our dinner reservation in town. David in Reception offered to swap around dinner reservations for us so we wouldn?t have to go out again that night. It was such a relief - we spent a few minutes in our beautiful room, came down for a drink, and then had a lovely meal before retiring. It was just what we needed after our busy day. A special ?Thank you!? to David for his kindness and good humor!

We have known this hotel from years ago. New owners now. The owner speaks to us. Nice, friendly, but a speech waterfall! We notice that the rest of the day. Helicopter lands behind the hotel. The next day it rises again in the morning after breakfast with a lot of noise! Upon arrival on the second day at the hotel - parking at the charging station - a gentleman comes to us ? we are not allowed to stand there! He starts to speak to us catty. We repost it - in the other place there is not an electric car, but an ordinary one and that does not belong to a charging station? He replied that it was his parking lot - he turns out to own this hotel! Also in the sequel he is not very hospitable/friendly - it is clear that he determines what happens here. This is the husband of the woman we now know as extremely friendly, helpful and who certainly does not show himself to be the boss! If you meet this man first at the counter, you will immediately walk away! It was clear that he was the boss of the hotel and definitely not welcoming. His way of approaching guests is not inviting; on the contrary. The day before we were just cozy, nice and warmly welcomed with all egards by the hostess (partner); just blown away by her husband? Strange. When checking out, I also mentioned this to owner Beatrice. She's shocked by this. She understands what I'm explaining to her.

What can we say about this hotel, that would actually do it justice. A beautiful property in a fabulous location with views of the bay to die for. We spent 7 nights here. Our room was cozy but luxurious and the daily shortcake is to die for. The highlight of our holiday was David and the staff. We were made to feel like a member of the family. David is such an engaging and knowledgable concierge and nothing was too much trouble. He took me on a whisky journey every night and remembered my tastes and preferred notes. He made sure my wife had her tablet with her tea! Breakfast was superb with great choices and the waiting staff are so friendly and efficient. We ate in the in-house restaurant on our first night and the food is Michelin quality. If you are planning a night or a week in Oban then this has to be your first choice if you are lucky enough to get a booking. Thank you team for making our holiday so special.

Our stay at the Manor House was the highlight of our trip to Scotland. The staff were truly exceptional and knowledgable. My husband is very interested in history, and Daniel gave him a very detailed tour of the House and answered all of his questions with aplomb. We felt very welcomed and cared for, and the staff had pre-arranged for a special vegan meal for us. Our server, David, was outstanding. The food was incredible--we live in Los Angeles where we have some of the best vegan restaurants in the world, and yet this hotel in a seaside Scottish town provided one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. Every aspect of our stay was memorable and perfect, and I cannot thank the Manor House staff enough for giving us such an incredible stay. I do hope to visit again someday.Rooms: Beautiful and comfortable rooms. We were in the Deluxe Seaview Room and it did have an incredible view! Absolutely wonderful room.Food & drinks: Lots of options for non-alcoholic drinks, and the staff kept our tea pot full and hot! The food was out-of-this-world. We had pre-arranged a vegan menu for our anniversary, and it was truly one of the best meals (if not THE BEST) I've ever had. Bravo.

Lovely welcome from Daniel and Steven with a tour of this beautiful house and some of the history. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, luxury, soft as you like, towels and toiletries as a bonus. A drink in the in the comfortable bar overlooking Oban harbour. Perfect. We booked dinner in the hotel restaurant. I cannot reccomend this highly enough, starters of pork belly/ scallops and scallop mousse, main courses of Venison Loin/ Beef Cheek were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious from Chef Andrew( I could dink the sauce by the ladle) Thank you Claudia for looking after us so well in the dining room. The breakfast menu was amazing and we were spoiled for choice and it was presented with such care. Thank you Daniel and the Team. We will be back.
