Everything about our very first Premier Inn experience was superb. Great rooms, food, value and the staff all went 'above and beyond'.We know Oban extremely well and visit very frequently. We'll return to The Premier Inn for certain.

I parked a hire car in the Premier Inn Oban carpark for an overnight stay on 10 Nov 23. I have since received a parking fine from Horizon Parking for using the car park. Premier Inn advertises free parking. Is this parking fine valid???Rooms: Comfortable in a good location. Very pleasant stay apart from the shock of getting an £85 parking fine from Horizon Parking for using the Premier Inn Carpark which is advertised as FreeSafety: No issuesWalkability: Very handy to all parts of the centre

It's a Premier Inn, so it's about the same everywhere, but the lady on the reception when we visited on the 3rd/4th of January was lovely. Very friendly and welcoming with lots of information on Oban in regards to places to see and dinner spots. Hotel itself is literally behind the train station so you're very close to both trains and taxis should you need them. The hairdryer in our room was broken which was unfortunate, but only because it was pouring it down that week and all our clothes were soaked, so we had no way to dry them! :D

Great location with free parking.

The hotel location and rooms were as expected and as seen before while booking. The issue is we received a parking ticket, being parked on their premises so not quite sure what was going on there. Now I have to lose time to manage to sort this out as it wasn't definitely any of my fault. Absolute garbage organised when it comes to parking.

Exactly what women of a certain age need- single occupancy, clean rooms, very comfy beds, great soundproofing, great breakfasts, close to ferry and shops.Food & drinks: No bar area was my only criticism, everything else was spot on.

I stayed at this Premier Inn hotel, what I can say about this Premier Inn. Firstly the staff were very pushy, rude, helpless, unpleasant and unwelcoming. Every time we've reported a problem about my gran's bed mattress being uncomfortable the receptionist and the manager told us there's nothing they can do stating that every room has the same mattresses. Speaking of beds, the mattresses were worn out which lost their comfort. We can't put the heating on without turning off the cool fan. When we first checked into this hotel, the female receptionist had immediately told us to pick a time for both dinner and breakfast in the restaurant even though there wasn't a single soul in the hotel restaurant. We came here for a relaxing weekend away so as not to make unnecessary schedules for meal times which we wanted to eat our meals at anytime it suits us. The food is basic and bland. Poor food choices available on the menu with uncreative and tasteless dishes. The food wasn't fresh but at a very poor standard. Food was either, undercooked or overcooked. Warning: ?? Please do not purchase the meal deal package, it wasn't worth £150 for. The view of the rooms is very poor. I will not recommend this Premier Inn go to the Hamilton one instead.Rooms: Rooms were okay, good facilities in the room but the beds and pillows were rock solid.Walkability: This Hotel is a great location for catching bus, ferry and train services.Food & drinks: The food was very poor and not edible. The food and drinks menu is very limited with poor choices available. The chips were undercooked and the onion rings were burned to a crisp. The peppercorn sauce was watery but too peppery. To make the dining experience the staff told us to make schedules for our meals every day. The restaurant is more like a school canteen rather than a restaurant. The front of the house staff were not really pleasant and pushy along with the lies they had told us.Noteworthy details: The staff were rude and not helpful when it comes to our complaints within the rooms. They forced us to make meal schedules every day even though the restaurant was not busy. The staff were too interested in the child guests staying and just abandoning young people with disabilities and prisoners staying here too. This Premier Inn doesn't support the hidden Disabilities scheme. This Premier Inn had falsely advertised by not having a restful sleep due to the quality of their beds in the rooms. The food is more like a Premier Inn version of Wertherspoons. I will not be returning here again. The Premier Inn's no refund policy is out of order, Disappointing.

First of all the location and the staff are brilliant and the breakfast was both tasty and plentiful. However the rooms were ridiculously warm and no way of opening a window or put on air con on. Yes it's December but the unreal heat meant we did not sleep well the whole time we were there which is sad.

A very good Premier Inn in a good location near the Ferry and train terminals. Easy access to the town centre and good parking in the grounds. The Scottish breakfast is excellent with lots of choices on display.Walkability: Withing short walking distance to centre of Oban.
