Excellent hotel with friendly staff. Lovely views out to sea from the bar and the food was first rate as well. ?Rooms: Old hotel but the rooms have all been done too a high standardNearby activities: 10 minute walk into town, McCaigs tower, WW2 museum, coffee shops etc Oban is a nice placeFood & drinks: Excellent food and drinks at this hotel

Lovely hotel in a good location, rooms a decent size with decent beds, does not accept cash at the bar and when you don't have a card to hand isn't helpful, mainly pleasant staff but 1 in particular abrupt and not pleasant, poor parking facilities on site. Approx 7 parking spaces plus 2 disabled and for some reason 2 electric only parking spaces

We are a group of 8 going on a tour around the highlands & they booked us Oban Bay hotel for one night which was a great choice! They check in process was very smooth. The hotel itself has an amazing view overlooking the water. The rooms are cozy & very comfortable. The breakfast was very yummy, warm & fresh. Especially the french toast & ice cream was very good. Everyone was so friendly & helpful. I wish we could?ve stayed for longer to try their spa.

Rooms: are fine. Small but quite comfortable and quiet. Given the size of this place and all the stairs, Im a little surprised they didn?t offer help getting bags to the room.Parking. What parking? There are a few spaces, I had to park at the car park a 5 min walk away. Another review mentioned valet? That wasn?t in evidence during my arrival. I wish there were a place to pull in to check in and drop bags. You can do this out front but it is really tight and you?ll block in the people parked there.Food. I only had breakfast. There?s an up charge for espresso drinks. Limited selection of nondairy milks (soy and almond only offered while Im here). Out of some menu selections- which would have been nice to know before I ordered them. Food was cold and the scrambled ?eggs? didn?t seem fresh, more like made from a mix.Bar. Is lovely and comfortable. Great selection. Bartender happy to help me pick the perfect glass of scotch.Location. Great! Away from the mix and traffic moving through Oban but lovely and walkable.

We had a wonderful stay and received excellent service from all the staff, especially Tom. He was amazing. The restaurant in hotel was equally as outstanding for dinner.

Don't be fooled that this is a spa hotel. £25 extra to use the hot tub for 90 minutes. No wonder it wasn't in use at all when I was there. Breakfast was an hour wait for our order despite booking a time slot. Used crerar a lot over the years. Fear this will be my

Our family had a terrible experience at the Oban Bay Hotel Restaurant. To start, we had a reservation for 7. When one of the members of our group informed the hostess that 3 of our members were running about 15 minutes late, she was greeted with a rude "No!". They were then rude to the remainder of the party, rushing them to order off the menu before they even sat down! I ordered the 34GBP steak, and requested it medium. What arrived was far past well done. It was on the small side and accompanied by 4 potato chips (seriously). I would have sent it back to the kitchen but none of the wait staff even returned to our table to ask how the food was, so I ate it and paid. Breakfast was order off the menu, it was okay quality except for the coffee which was terrible. As far as the hotel, it felt outdated and the layout is really inconvenient. You have to walk up 13 steps and a series of long hallways to get to the elevator, and that's after you've parked about 2 blocks away. Would definitely not recommend or stay here again.
