Don?t know if they were having an off day but thought I?d give them a try for once. Fish and chips was very average and salted to death. Service was perfunctory bordering on unfriendly and to cap it off they don?t have chip shop brown sauce! Rather you have to buy an overpriced sachet of HP. Disappointing and will be sticking to George Street fish and chips when I?m Oban - haven?t been disappointed yet!

On a coach trip to the west of Scotland, the driver recommended that if we wanted fish & chips then don't go anywhere else, we walked in the seating area was packed out, we waited around 15 minutes for a table, we ordered two haddock, one chips, two drinks and curry sauce, the food was exceptionally good, after chatting with the owner Antony? He said his grandad was Nories
Anyways I said I'd leave a review
Honestly if anyone happens to visit Oban and you fancy a bloody good chippy then don't walk past this place.

The chips were beyond soggy and greasy. Did make it into my top 5 worse chips.

Food is ok, my only gripe was I had to pay £2 to eat in which might be a charge that has to be paid by everyone who eats in at any restaurant in Scotland

Omg the sausage was absolutely tasteless and I've had a willie winky thicker as for the single fish it was tiny and had to buy sauce never again.

Not worthy the visit. Charge you extra for seating inside and ketchup nothings speacial is just fish and chips. mine fish was small and very thin a lot of butter rather than fish

Had fish and chips on Monday 28th of July and they were really good, the wife and my chips loved the chips, the staff were very friendly

The fish was lovely and the chips were well cooked with virtually no oil in the box when finished. Was expensive though.
