Very poor quality hotel owned by Mutu who also own the Alexander Hotel and run that equally as mediocre. It was all locked up today and a couple of staff doing a security shift. Doesn't bode well .

The staff couldn't do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Room overlooking the Oban bay. Very clean and comfortable room. All extra facilities provided. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice.

This hotel was clean but needs updated, the curtains were dirty and holes in them and the breakfast was awful, not worth the money, bacon that looked a funny colour and scrambled eggs that was just a bowl of mush, I am not a fussy eater but I couldn?t eat it!!!

Just back from a lovely weekend break in this lovely hotel which is in a fabulous position with great views over Oban Bay. Lovely and attentive staff, especially James in reception who organised an upgrade to a room with a view for us with no fuss. Great breakfast too.

The hotel is warm and clean and staff are welcoming and helpful. The hotel as great views and the is located with walking distance of all the local attractions. The rooms are clean and comfortable with coffee making facilities. There is a small bar area where we enjoyed an Oban whiskey.

The staff I met were excellent especially Junaid the Manager and Yeshwanth at reception , I extended my visit as I enjoyed the hotel so much . The view from the room was amazing over the bay , the food good , and room excellent , will return asap thank you all Cat .

Enjoyed my short stay at this Hotel. Good view from Room, very clean, pleasant helpful Staff, carried my Suitcase for me, good value for money, would highly recommend.

The welcoming was quite wonderful as the staff was super friendly and accommodating. We arrived a few minutes before check in and our room wasn?t quite ready. The staff had us relax in the bar area and provided a complimentary beverage. The room was small, but comfortable. If you are disabled, this hotel might not be a good choice as we had to walk up one level to take the lift to our 4th floor room.

Stayed for 2 nights and the hotel is ideally placed to explore Oban. The room was comfortable with a lovely sea view. All the staff were very professional and friendly and very happy to help if needed. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area

Had a lovely stay here. Nice room with a stunning sea view. Staff were so friendly and made me feel so welcome. They couldn't do enough for me. Have given 4 stars because the place needs a refurb but the new manager is working on it. Would love to go back here. I tend to find that the staff are the factor that really makes a hotel in a location like this. Junaid, Raul, James, Nanda - thanks for everything. Junaid - pls pass my thanks on to the rest of the team that work behind the scenes. Rais.

Recently stayed at this establishment and it was good Room was very spacious with fantastic scenery all round with a large bay view window. Room was spotless and a very welcome hospitality tray including Tunnocks Carmel wafer biscuits , packs of Scottish fudge, shortbread and mints. Jacuzzi bath with over bath shower plenty of hot water. Plentiful breakfast of reasonable quality. No chef for lunch or evening meal but hopefully that will change shortly. Staff are all very good and welcoming. Would like to say a special thanks to James at reception as he was able to accommodate us in the same room I had booked earlier in the year and could not manage as the wife had to have an emergency operation . Thank you once again James really appreciated it and will certainly return next year. This hotel is getting back to where it was when I worked in Oban and stayed there. Well done and keep up the good work.

James at the front desk was very helpful and always friendly. Breakfast was amazing with many hot and cold choices. As we are from Canada it was nice to taste some typical Scottish eats (my husband was so excited to see Black Pudding on the menu). Pastries were delicious too. Bar service was great but we didn't, t sit in the lounge as there were lounge chairs provided outside where we sat and watched the sunset. All the staff were very attentive. Would have liked to have had the restaurant open for dinner....maybe next time.

The staff were wonderful throughout my 2 night stay. I walked in without a booking and spoke to James who helped me get the best rate available. The room I was given was fantastic. Really very clean and spacious. I was very happy to see a bath in the room. And Big TV. I went down to the bar and had a great chat with Raul about travel. I felt welcome and relaxed the whole time. The staff really are 5 star. Thank you!

Room & bathroom were clean and comfortable. Good shower. Bath had a jacuzzi feature. Good base for sight seeing around Oban. Parking was a problem though. Very small busy car park. You may have to pay for public parking on the street which is a hassle. One of the managers was helpful & managed to find us a space but be prepared to find your own parking when busy. Hotel is very dated & a real rabbit warren. Lots of stairs. There was one lift which only went a few floors up, not the whole way, and it smelled absolutely terrible.
