Zitto describes itself as offering 'Authentic Italian food'. With a pretty small menu you'd expect what comes out of the kitchen to be of decent quality. Unfortunately the two pizzas we ordered were pretty light on toppings, the toppings they did have were very low quality & very processed & the pizza bases were clearly bought-in.... Seriously, an 'Italian restaurant' that can't prepare a fresh dough pizza base in their kitchen? At £28 for two pizzas they were very poor & well behind anything we've eaten in other Italian restaurants for years. If you can't get a pizza right then you need to stop larping as an Italian restaurant. The one across the road serves FAR better food.

Delicious tapas, fresh fish, flavourful pasta dishes.
Broccoli was out of this world, like no brocolli we had ever had before you must try!

I'm coeliac. The staff understood this an took excellent care. They only have penne for gluten free. It was as good as any GF pasta I've ever had (low bar, I know). They cooked it perfectly al dente, which is of course the minimum you might expect for an Italian restaurant, but any one whose tried will know how difficult that can be for gf pasta. I had carbonara, and it was absolutely wonderful!

Food was fine and service was quick but the staff seemed pretty unhappy and bored which definitely made the atmosphere a bit dull

Really nice food! Very quick service and great staff!! I liked how each dish offered a smaller version of itself, I opted to have 2 smaller dishes instead of 1 big one. Fish batter was really nice and the Bolognese was delicious!!

Disappointing experience. Soggy, undercooked pizza. Staff very young and the owner didn't move from behind the bar. Didn't seem interested. Annoyed we chose Zitto because there are other places in North Berwick where we've had a much better experience in the past.
