Fantastic local hotel in the Cairngorms. The owner and his wife were lovely and made us feel welcome. The bar was busy on a Thursday night with two groups of walkers all eating the great Cullen Skink and food from the kitchen, We had Katsu curry and hunters chicken, both were so good. Our room No1 was large and had a massive bed, nicely decorated and a huge bathroom with a bath. Breakfast was a full fry up with a good selection of fruit and cereals. Went for an informal family dinner while on a short break in the area. First time visiting this hotel, staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and polite. Best service we have had for years, told you specials/ soup of the day/ drinks on tap with no prompting and at time of seating to aid choosing. Thank you again ConnorFood & drinks: Excellent quality, selection and cooking of all our dishes. Cullen skink, BBQ chicken wings, steak rare and haggis/ clapshot/ peas. Children's meals scampi and chips, fish and chips, then both had Mackies ice-cream for dessert. All delicious, served hot and fresh. Couldn't fault anything. We will certainly return as we want to explore the area again. Thank you Glen Hotel.

A very well presented hotel and bar. The room(room3) was very comfortable, cleaned very well, bathroom was gorgeous. All facilities were excellent. Our evening meal in the bar was well presented and tasted good. Service excellent and made to feel welcomed. Breakfast was one of the nicest we have had. Very tasty. Highly recommend to anyone staying this way. Just a few miles outside Aveimore, and the village and views are beautiful

The restaurant we had planned for dinner was fully booked so we decided to give the Glen hotel restaurant a try. The universe unfolded as it should and we have a great pub dinner (one of the best hamburgers I have ever had) with great beer and a very friendly service. And we were able to get back to our B&B (Clune house) on foot!

Wir wurden von der B+B Besitzerin ins Restaurant des Glen Hotels empfohlen. Dort angekommen betraten wir das typische Bar und Restaurant Ambiente. Sehr sauber und ansprechend. Wir wurden sehr freundlich Empfangen und fragten nach zwei Plätzen für ein Abendessen. Nach kurzer Abklärung bekamen wir einen Tisch. Wir waren aber etwas zu früh dran und man bot uns an etwas zu Trinken von der Bar mit mach draussen zu nehmen und den Abend zu geniessen. Nach einer kurzen Wartezeit wurden wir zu unserem Tisch gebeten. Es gab eine Tageskarte mit frischer Suppe und zwei Hauptgerichten. Sowie eine Srandart Karte. Nach einem sejr guten Salat und einem unglaublich Leckeren Haggis Tower zur Vorspeise gab es Venecian Cassarole und einen wunderbaren Cheesburger. Das Essen war trotz Personalmangel, den man so eigentlich nicht bemerkte bis wir ins Gespräch kamen, nicht wahrnehmbar. Alles kam zügig und war grossartig. Nach dem Essen gan es ein dunkles Schottenbier und Kaffee. Preis und Leistung sind wirklich vollkommen in Ordnung und das Personal offen und freundlich. Gerne wieder.

We didnt stay here but we were staying in the village and went to the hotel to eat. Greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable chap behind the bar. Selection of beers were excellent and the food was fab. Big portions and very fresh and tasty

We went along to the Glen Hotel for dinner and it was excellent. There were 4 of us and the meal was great service the staff were second to none very friendly. Would recommend this hotel no problem.
