Nothing is too much trouble for these guys! Will definitely be back! Cheers ?Nearby activities: Lots of nice walks and cafe's etc in the village itself however it is very near Aviemore which is the local skiing resort in the winter and also has quad biking and other outdoor summer persuits.. lots to see and do for all the family..”

“A very well presented hotel and bar. The room(room3) was very comfortable, cleaned very well, bathroom was gorgeous. All facilities were excellent. Our evening meal in the bar was well presented and tasted good. Service excellent and made to feel welcomed. Breakfast was one of the nicest we have had. Very tasty. Highly recommend to anyone staying this way. Just a few miles outside Aveimore, and the village and views are beautiful”

“What a refreshing experience! The host could not have been more helpful. Recommendations for local restaurants and pizza takeouts, and even set us up with his personal laptop so that we could watch a rugby game (the bar TVs were set to Football and we werent going to try compete with the football). Good value drinks at the bar. Room was comfortable (family room) and well appointed. Definitely an option when up in the Aviemore/ Newtonmore area.”

“Just arrived back from a 5 day trip with Newmarket Holidays and was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Having read some of the negative reviews, we were quite worried but it was lovely. Check in was very easy and we were delighted to be given a key instead of those door cards that often don’t work. Our room was lovely, very spacious with a small heater (which we needed on a couple of mornings) and a very smart bathroom with heated towel rail and lovely thick, fluffy towels. Everywhere was immaculate and clean. The bar area is small but, because we were on a tight schedule, we didn’t have much time to dwell in there. The dining room was big and busy but, thanks to the excellent staff, we never had to wait long for our food which, overall, was very good. We had plenty of choices for our three course dinner and the dessert trolley was particularly good. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice of cereals, including porridge, fruit and cooked breakfast. The only complaint that I heard was that kippers were no longer on the menu. Without doubt, the hotel’s biggest asset is the staff. Always polite and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. For a 3 star hotel, I think it is excellent and well worth a visit.”
