What a find! Enormous collection of second hand books at really fair prices. The owner was lovely and even said she would have been happy if we had taken our little dog in there! We found a huge section for the narrow area of interest we were looking for and I had to drag my daughter away after about an hour - not nearly long enough... I have to say that the books were really well selected - second hand but still nice quality relevant books. I really hope shops like this have a future competing against online shopping and that's why I'm writing a review as I like to support local businesses and hope my review will encourage someone else to go along. Thank you to the friendly shop owner if you are reading this!

Hidden away in a corner of the town centre, behind the old County Building, I really enjoyed my visit to the Old Bank Book Shop. An excellent range of books on different subjects, including some hard to find and unusual out of print editions. Very friendly place and we were made very welcome and encouraged to spend time browsing. Very pleased with what I bought and will return as soon as I can.

absolutely delightful bookshop. packed to the brim with every genre. my daughter and partner both bought and devoured books from here. have had cause to subsequently contact the owner to ask for a favour and received a prompt, personal and highly professional reply. would love to visit again and browse some more.

I can?t get to Wigton for the festival this year! But not to worry with opening hours to allowbrowsers bibliophiles bookish delights its a whole year experience - I?ll certainly find my way back to the Old Bank Bookshop.
