“Ohhhh we've got a new supermarket! I have to admit, I was a bit too excited about this opening and knew I'd be going on opening day to check it out. Apparently everyone else in Newton Mearns thought the same thing as it was absolutely heaving - it's been a while since I've seen the car park at Harvie Avenue totally full! The Co-Op is bigger than Harvies was and makes really good use of the space to fit a tonne of food/booze/misc in there. You could probably do a decent grocery shop in here, that's how good of a range they have. They have an in-store bakery and a good range of most things you're looking for. I doubt we will move from Waitrose for our full shop to here, but I would definitely use it for mid-week top ups. There's a good range of wine, beer and spirits are stocked behind the counter. They also sell Buckfast. Staff were very smiley despite the store being totally rammed.”
