A new addition to The Avenue, the Card Factory stocks - wait for it - cards. Yeh, greeting cards. I LOVE a greeting card actually, so this shop should be heaven for me. But their range is just a bit depressing and generic, so it's a 2-star experience for me. First up, the look of the store is reminds me of a bargain basement discounter. Not really the emotion I'm looking for when I'm on the hunt for a card to send to a loved one. The range is just dire. Bland, unimaginative, generic cards which just don't cut it for me. If I'm going to buy a card for a loved one, I want one which is witty, funny and a nice design/look to it. They just don't seem to do that kind of card here at the Card Factory, it's all just pictures of flower vases and puppy cartoons. Meh. Would I shop here again? Nope - there's a Clinton's nearby (which I'm not saying is the best card shop ever, but the range is a bit better) as well as M&S which does a nice stationery range. So yeh, sorry Card Factory, I won't be back.
