Edit: after finally getting through to customer service, I was promised a call back. Soon after Adam from the branch called me and was extremely helpful and sorted me out. Fantastic. Upshot - Boots has a terrible phone system but excellent people when you can get through.
Local Boots telephone system doesnt allow you to speak to them. Its all automated. To speak to someone you have to call customer service. Why even have a local branch number? So I phoned the customer service number. Held for 25 minutes then somebody answered and immediately cut off.

Waited 5 minutes yesterday to enquire about heating aids. Eventually, one of the harassed prescription staff came over and served someone beside Me who had just walked up to counter. (Maybe a beard thing)? Couldn't give Me any info other than a phone no. Tossed the paper on way out. 'Should have gone' elsewhere first. Specsavers were really helpful. Will be using local Pharma for scrips in future too! Poor effort!

Never any staff about. Click & collect counter is ALWAYS empty. On my latest visit it was, as usual, empty, so I don't know why people are always told to collect from there. A look down the aisles revealed that there were no other staff about, even the counter next to the pharmacy was empty. Queued for ages at the pharmacy instead, and just as I felt like leaving, one of the assistants moved over to the other counter, and a queue started there. Deciding that I'd spent enough time here, I moved to leave, and saw that there were now 3 previously-hiding assistants chatting at the click & collect counter.
The pharmacy always has a long wait time compared to other pharmacies.
This store has very little to recommend it.

Can only repeat earlier reviews. Appalling customer service from a disinterested and condescending older lady assistant. Store manager equally rude. I was treated with courtesy and compassion by an actual pharmacist next door in superdrug. I was prevented from seeing a pharmacist by this lady for reasons only known to her. Needless to say, I won't be back.

Absolutely shocking attitude from blonde haired older woman with glasses.Unsure why she was so annoyed from the start, unhelpful, asking personal questions in front of another customer just an awful unfriendly individual. Store manager not helpful either just as bad poor poor customer service.

Manager was dismissive to my gran today and wanted us out the door due to the fact that their staff never informed us there was nobody to perform her hearing aid appointment. Won?t be back.

Absolutely woeful pharmacy staff. Zero empathy, or willingness to assist.
Refused to issue an inhaler simply because of a change of brand simply because new prescription hadn?t arrived from the Doctor despite Dr confirming it was on the way and supplying a bar code. It meant a trip to hospital to get one.
I?ll be changing pharmacy and would?ve given them zero stars had it been possible.
Superdrug is next door, I suggest you use them.

Poor service by the old reception technician at the pharmacy. Tried the pharmacy first and sh discussed confidential info in front of everyone with no regard for patient confidentiality. CQC compliant impending. Her attitude was so patronising and rude. Will be changing pharmacies

I'm sick and tired of these jobsworth telling me I can't have a certain painkiller because I'm on meds for a condition. I've checked with my consultant, and he says it's fine. It's cocodamol Sandra, not heroin. Get a life. And as a grown adult I want 2 boxes not one.

Every time I go the pharmacy is closed for lunch and can?t sell over the counter medicines. So I just go straight to Superdrug now.

Some of the Staff (senior manager and others) have displayed racist behaviour towards me. This has happened on two separate occasions. It is the occult form where one?s tone and body language and eye contact communicate disrespect and that ignorant ?I don?t want to treat you with basic human dignity because I hate your skin colour and everything I?ve been taught to hate about people like you?. People often say this is the most difficult form of racism to address and it is true. But I?m exposing it anyway. And don?t respond that you can?t possibly be racist ?because you have a ?black? member of staff?. That in itself would also be racist. Do better
