Ordered Beetroot and goats cheese salad with chickenI got mixed leaves (tge type you buy in a bag that include a few strands of beetroot)a reasonable amount of chicken and cheese. I genuinely thought the they?d forgot to add the beetroot! I was told that that was how it?s served (despite it being called ?Beetroot and feta salad) which suggests beetroot should be one of the main ingredients. They then took it away and gave me the same salad saying ?they?ve added a few more toppings? which was some soggy grated carrot! .

Visited Glendoick on 21.01.24 for a snack on the journey back to Aberdeen. We ordered bake potatoes, a coffee and water. The bake potatoes (BBC) were served quickly and efficiently by the waiting staff. Unfortunately, the quality and presentation of our meals was poor. Very disappointing given that the food used to be of a high standard. We won?t be back!

Arrived to be shown to a table and ordered drinks plus food. Blt panini arrived with mouldy lettuce in it so it was sent back with the promise it would be replaced. By this I thought it would mean a new panini but no some of the lettuce had been removed but not all of it. So I said I would just leave it and sent it back to the kitchen. Mac and cheese was tasteless , obviously frozen in a big batch and then re heated. The chips were nice but that was it. Staff don?t seem overly bothered or understand the issue . We won?t ever return , over priced and poor quality. Plenty of other places that are well above this.

We arrived in the cafe at 3.00 to be ushered to a cramped table with absolutely no choice of where to sit ?? and although it was very busy there were two sections ?out of bounds? in readiness for cleaning for the next day !!!! ?- no amount of persuasion would allow us to sit within these areas ?? not at all customer friendly ! ?- so if you visit - and Im not sure we will again - make sure you arrive well before 3pm if you want to choose a nice place to sit !!

we decided to have breakfast here but it was a mistake. We waited long enough for it but it was so greasy. The bacon and lorne sausage were not cooked properly and I asked for my fried egg to be well done but it wasn't it really turned my stomach. I really thought that it would be good but I was very mistaken. I really think the chefs concerned need to go back to basics and learn how to cook a breakfast. We have been here before and had lunch with no problems.

As a member of the Dundee Wheelers cycle club , we descended on the cafe in great numbers, 22 in all , the staff coped extremely well , had us seated and orders taken and served very promptly, the standard of food for us was excellent, ranging from scones to breakfast rolls, I can't rate the team highly enough, we visit many cafes on our travels and this rates as one of the best,If there was a downside ( now I'm being picky ) a bike rack would be nice , nothing fancy, just a piece of scaffolding pole on an A frame .Definitely will be back ?

Disappointing lunch, chose smokey dokey sandwich, did not like the texture, there were supposed to be crispy onions on it but never found them, didnt eat half of it. Side salad poor. Friend had baked potato which was quite dry with no butter and again poor side salad. thought we would cheer ourselves up with cake and again disappointing - lemon cake was very dry and biscoff traybake was tiffin with biscoff crumbs on top. All in all disappointing and paid £29 for it too!

We met family here so were a table of 10. Great service, great food and a lovely atmosphere. I am gluten intolerant and had a reasonable choice of mains - and homemade cake too. We would definitely return when in the area as I can?t fault a single thing. Well done to the staff.

We dropped in past Glendoick as we normally do on our way South. The lunch was very disappointing. I had the winter vegetable Broth which was basically Barley Broth, little or no winter vegetables. My wife had what was billed as a Toastie but was actually a toasted sandwich. The definition is a Toastie is very specifically sliced bread filled then heated and sealed between 2 metal surfaces to prevent leaks. What my wife received was defiantly not a Toastie by the definition. The internet also goes on to say what a Toastie fundamentally is NOT a sandwich served on toasted slices of bread. So as the review says very disappointing lunch, the chips were great and the girl who served us was very pleasant and efficient.

The shop itself is fantastic but our lunch, what a disappointment. You wouldn?t think you could go wrong with a baked tattie and coronation chicken. You can! The tattie was ok but the sauce the chicken was is was tasteless and sickening and the side salad, if you can call it a salad, it was more of a garnish, was a slice of dried up cucumber, a few bits of very limp rocket and lettuce and a 1/3 of a tomato, tiny tiny bit of grated carrot. The table outside that we sat at was so wobbly (as we?re the others) that you couldn?t cut your food as your drinks (or soup that once chap had on another table) would spill everywhere. I really think you could do better!!! I think the chefs/management should go and take a look at what Gloagburn are doing, or The Smiddy, The Woodhouse.

Stopped by today for lunch. We were taken to our seats by Daniel who explained the specials and menu to us clearly. The cafe was incredibly busy but we were quickly served by Chloe, who is always so pleasant and lovely regardless of how busy she is, and nothing is too much trouble for her - she really is an asset to The Cafe. We had the special of steak, macaroni and fries, which was delicious. Our drinks were perfect made by Alison. We visit at least twice a month and wouldn?t go anywhere else for lunch.

Pleasant stop for lunch. Table service - was shown to table and order taken . We weren?t keen on table given so we just moved. Catered for gluten free option well. We took a take away GF cake also.

Welcomed within 2 minutes and escorted to our table, given menus and within 5 minutes our order was noted. 5 minutes later it was presented to us followed 2 minutes later by our tea and coffee. The meal was plentiful and tasty, the beverages excellent. Our bill was presented as soon as we asked and all in all the experience was very pleasant, enhanced by the friendly attitude of the staff.
