This was our first hotel during our trip through Scotland and unfortunately the worst one. We left covered in bedbug bites from this place. Avoid Room 1 ? or even better, avoid the hotel if you can.
The only positive point was the breakfast, but even with that, I would not recommend staying here. It?s simply not worth the money, as the bites and bedbugs followed us throughout the rest of our journey. We even had to go to a laundrette out of misery and buy a bedbug spray to try and deal with the problem to not take it home with us?
The room was dirty and the mattress was even worse. (I dont even understand how they even dare to ask money to lay on this mattress) I honestly wish I could get my money back? and didn?t booked this hotel for my vacation?

I have to say the one of the best restaurants I have been. We arrived 5 minutes before kitchen was closing and we didn't know that but staff still took our order and food arrived beautifully cooked! I can definitely tell the quality of food was top notch!
I will be recommending this place to all of mu friends and family as food and staff were 10 out of 10!!!!

Did not stay the night. My Husband and I got caught in a storm walking home. Stopped in late for hot food. They accommodated us even though it was late. Great food and warm hospitality

Stayed at The Sun Inn for 1 night, and wow, we weren't disappointed. Staff extremely friendly, and the room was clean and spacious. The food was absolutely amazing. We had hoped to stay again in a couple of weeks but fully booked. Highly recommend staying and / or eating here.

It has been a while since we were last at the Sun and probably our last. Although the food was well presented, all 4 main courses were not as hot as they should have been I guess they lay on the path for longer than they should have as the bottom of my dish of smoked haddock at £24 was warmer than the mid and top of the dish. All in all, most certainly not worth £129 for 4 for lunch

My partner had booked the table as a surprise for dinner tonight.
Food was lovely, service fabulous. The lady owner very attentive and the chef, also owner came out to speak to us when I had enquired about a little sweet chilli on the menu which was a very personal noted touch. Really enjoyed the food. Monkfish was just sublime with the curry and my partners steak was simply delicious. Really good cut of meat. Overall everything fab. We will be back. Thankyou. X

I went in for some dessert, I was simply blow away by the level of service provided from the waiting staff and the time efficiency of the kitchen staff. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxed meal to share with your loved one?s!

Arrived for lunch on Mother's day to be given a set menu (2 courses £40/3 courses £50). This had not been advertised in advance or I would not have booked. The roast dinner was not up to standard and there was nothing to justify the very significant extra cost for 2 courses other than the date. I would not have left a review on FB but my complaint to the restaurant has had no response.
