Bring bird seed

The area is beautiful, but it can clearly be seen, that pretty much the whole of Scotland do not want people in Motorhomes or camper vans visiting! Oh! You can visit, but you will be made to feel unwelcome one way or another. Instead of providing facilities to accommodate motoring tourists, many of the Scottish organisations choose to simply moan! Wake up, smell the coffee! RSPB included. The very last time I donate to an organisation that wishes to banish visitors.

Amazing place , we wild camped there for 1 night. Beautiful views, obviously no facilities. 2 rangers popped over to see us, they were very friendly and made sure we were following the rules. There were midgies but not loads.

A small walk to the birdhouse with beautiful views of the osprey nest, added bonus of binoculars if you forget yours. The RSPB talk by one of the staff there was most excellent, very knowledgeable. As we went to look at the nest viewpoint i noticed another talk by another staff member was doing a very similar talk for children. The staff member was doing an excellent job at keeping the kids informed but interested at the same time, complete with actions of how birds move as an example. It is wonderful to watch how the RSPB and its staff are getting youngsters interested.

Great place to visit. This RSPB has really embraced technology and has live cameras showing on screens so you can see various birds closer. They also have a variety of binoculars, etc, to view the birds.Ospreys in the nest looked sound. Got a few good pictures. Great walks around to the lochs. We did a short walk to Loch Garten and back through the pine trees.Didn't see no red squirrels but they're about.Nature centre is free to members or £5 to others. Car Park is free. There's toilets on site and a shop which sells sandwiches too.

A brilliant time watching ospreys on their nest. Informative talks by young RSPB enthusiasts. Very impressive and positiveplanning for wildlife in Scotland.

Fantastic views and video of nesting osprey. Knowledgeable staff. I would have given 5 stars but temporary toilets were not pleasant in the heat. New toilets are being built so I?m sure that it will be a 5 star visit in future.

Beautiful place situated on beautiful Loch Garten. I last visited the Osprey viewing centre 46 years ago, I loved it then, and I loved it again. Fabulous HD footage of the Ospreys, Goshawks and Blue ties. The staff were very friendly and extremely informative, you can see that they are passionate about what they are doing. After spending a considerable amount of time watching the birds and learning from the staff we walked across to the Loch were our adult boys and their partners went swimming. Stunning views of the Loch, it was just peace itself. We stayed far longer than we had planned too, but the weather was glorious, it just had to be done.

Well worth a visit if only to watch the Osoreys on the TV feed. Very enthusiastic volunteers with a wealth of knowledge.

The staff here do really good work. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. I got the impression that it can get quite busy there. There is plenty of viewing equipment available to use, little gift area and there is additional work being done to the centre.Toilets are portaloos, plenty of parking when we visited and nice walks around the loch and forest.

I've visited this place a ton of times. Each time it is an amazing experience. The staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable and friendly. There is a variety of binoculars so you can view the Ospreys, plus TV screens showing live or recorded footage.Plus there are lots of bird feeders outside the hide which give you views on smaller local birds.Lots of information available, a shop, small snacks and drinks and a toilet.A must visit if you are in the area. Great for all the family.

Still work going on at the entrance. Disabled access still good via alternate route. Disabled portaloo as temporary measure much appreciated. Friendly helpful staff. Visitor center good and managed to see a red squirrel, ospreys not quite so accommodating today but visible via the nest cam. Will visit again.
