We sat upstairs. Downstairs I asked when the cafe would open and a rude staff member told me that the cafe was open upstairs with a tone as if I was an idiot but the downstairs was all closed with a red bar a cross the entrance so of course I thought it wasn't open.Upstairs was cold without any atmosphere at all, nothing cosy about it, an industrial vibe and quite echoey- really won't be nice when busy. Reminded me of a university canteen. Huge log burner was gorgeous but they didn't top it up, possibly as they weren't too far off closing, when it was topped up it was really nice though the place was cold unless you sat right next to it.Tea was awful and we couldn't put our own milk in- they do it for you but they left the tea bags in ages before doing it, I had to go back and request more milk to make mine drinkable but my husband couldn't even drink his he said it tasted like pond water. Mac and cheese was nice but menu very limited and the chips were bog standard like something from wetherspoons. Food was expensive too.My autistic daughter burned her hand in the disabled toilets as the red and blue on the tap are the wrong way around, she cried all the way home. The male member of staff clearing tables did ask if she was OK so that was nice.In conclusion - I liked the fairy lights, though I'm assuming they're only there for Xmas and it'll be very cold and unwelcoming without them, and I would recommend the mac and cheese, but everything else was rubbish including most of the service. If you want nice food go to aviemore, not here, you'll get nice food and a cosy atmosphere for less money.

Good cafe with tasty soup. Great view down to Lock Morlich ...but it would have been but someone decided it was a good idea to put a 3 storey pile of shipping containers snack bang in the centre of the view. Huh!!!

Stopped here for a wee drinky and there was a lovely log burning fire blazing away. Weather outside was very foggy so we didn't see much, but we were nice and warm inside. I'd imagine on a clear day the views are spectacular.

Overpriced food and staff are extremely rude especially when they get your order wrong and act like it was your fault, felt so uncomfortable ordering

Poor service and plastic cup of hot water and one tea bag. Expensive. Best for scenery

I have visited twice so far and was amazed at the range of vegan options! The Biscoff Brownie was quite delicious! That really makes up for getting soaked while Munro bagging. Obviously the views are great too.Vegetarian options: Amazing VEGAN options!! I only had the brownie and a Hot Chocolate, and they were great!

So the girl who served me really seemed like she didn't know what she was doing, had to ask how to put juice through, didnt take a table number, had to ask another staff member if she takes the order slip to the kitchen, didn't ask me if I wanted a recipe.Orderd a burger and chips, £10 that's was a fair price, chips hot and crispy, the burger was burnt, dry, chewy, it was laggard in burnt onions also, couldn't eat it, bottle of Pepsi max £3.50 is shocking.

Nice cafe at the base station to Cairngorm. A reasonable food selection and a pleasant and warm ambience. We enjoyed delicious breakfast rolls and coffee by the fireplace.

To start off with, the staff were amazing and super friendly. Even though it was madly busy they were on the ball constantly so that all tables were clear and tidy and they were still friendly and lovely despite the hard work they were putting in.My only suggestion would be that the restaurant could do with an expansion. The skiers are in there taking up seating and tables for most of the day which makes it hard to get a table, so perhaps a designated skier area (where they can wear their boots and gear with standing on other peoples feet or bags).- but that's nothing that the staff can do, so it's no criticism on them. The place is super dog friendly even offering pupacinos to your furry friends.Wheelchair accessibility: Not massively easy for access due to the busyness of it all and skiers not really willing to move to make paths clear for wheelchairs, but its a ski slope cafe, so didn't really expect as much accessibility as they actually offered as a venue. The business can't help the general publics behaviour so no reflection on them.
