We went to the restaurant after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed. The authentic Italian food was fabulously flavoursome, good sized portions that felt healthy and light on the stomach. The atmosphere was very relaxing. We will certainly be back.

This was our first visit to the Aurora restaurant, and we were not disappointed.The conservatory dining room has a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, and courteous, attentive staff made us feel very welcome.The menu offers a wonderful traditional selection of provincial Italian dishes, created and prepared by the gregarious and impassioned chef/owner....generous portions, beautifully presented.Even though we were more than sated with delicious starters, and mains, we couldn't resist the dessert menu, and opted for the homemade Tiramisu....simply divine !We feel very fortunate to have discovered this "gem".....highly recommended

My wife had languistine, king prawn platter and I had a steak, tagliatelle with chilli. Not shy with the portions. Absolutely cooked to perfection on both counts. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay a memorable one. We will definitely be going back, great food, great staff and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Thanks for a lovely evening.

We haven?t stayed here yet but we have had some wonderful authentic home cooked meals. The welcome is always exceptional and we used to live close but now we?ve moved further away we still like to come here for some great comfort food. Service is always personal and exceptional at that. The meals are large in size and very tasty. Great value for money. Lovely old property. Home from home. See you again soon.

I visited aurora Italian on Saturday 11/28 I couldn't make reservations and went into the restaurant they said they couldn't seat us we was going to leave when Mya ran out stopped us found us a place at the bar and gave us both free champagne thank you Mya food was awesome and we will be back

We'd read the reviews and booked looking forward to warm and genuine hospitality. This is exactly what we got. We stayed for one night in room 3 - a large double room with an ensuite.The hotel has a lovely old world feel but the real charm is the hospitality.As a family run hotel, we were truly welcomed and the service from all staff was exceptional. It was attentive, friendly but not intrusive.The younger waiting staff were especially courteous and it is clear that much time and attention goes into ensuring they are well trained.We ate dinner which was lovely but the cooked breakfast was superb with the best black pudding I have ever had.We really enjoyed our stay and will return if we were back in Nairn. A great starting location for the Nc500.

We had wonderful meals and service on 2 of the five nights we stayed in Nairn, the food was superb, and the family service was second to none.I recommend Aurora Restaurant without exception. Well worth the visit, thank you.

The food and service was amazing. We really enjoyed the meal. It was a special occasion so the attention to detail was really appreciated. The main course was a large portion, I had the chicken with a cream and mushroom sauce and it was delicious as were the starters and side dishes. The complimentary Limoncello was also delicious ?Food & drinks: Very delicious. Generous portions.

Welcoming owners, breakfast was very good and plentiful. Had a meal in the restaurant and it was authentic Italian and good. We had room 8 on the second floor and found it very noisy from the road outside all night, however both my friend and I live in very quiet areas and so maybe a little sensitive to noise. Also found the shower cubicle small and not very easy to access.

Very friendly Italian family run hotel restaurant. The service was great. Unfortunately the chef let it down a bit. The menu was very typical with most classics in their style (although no soup). We just shared garlic bread starter at £4.50. Had a good load of Garlic butter just a shame the bread was not toasted enough. My son has escalope milanaise with pasta Arabia ta. I added some salt and was delicious. I had scaloppino al limone.. Veal slices in lemon and white wine sauce. Was very lemon could not taste the wine and the Veal was over cooked and tough... Shame! For £20 + side of saute bump the price up to a dish that should be delicious. It would have been of the chef was more attentive... But it had a nice ambience and service. Food had potential, just not executed will today.

Location of Hotel good, had to park on the road as no room in the hotel car park. We stayed in the family room - lovely large room, comfortable and clean. Decor in public areas needs updating - new flooring, walls painted, furnishings etc. could be very nice as lovely old building. Breakfast was very tasty and owners polite. I would probably stay here again if in Nairn as room was not bad value in comparison to other places we stayed in around Scotland.
