Decided to go for tea before attending a family party , did not realise we should book , got in , as I walk with a mobility aid sat down , did feel bad as sign asked to wait to be seated , guy on bar said sorry no walk ins , premier inn only for which we said we are staying there , well we?ve no chefs they are off sick so we will probably close , eventually after he?d taken orders of families sitting he took our order said could be 1 hour to 2 hours , well we?ve no decided to chance it , food wasn?t even an hour and was lovely, but they kept turning more and more away altho kept taking orders for desserts etc , good to see a family friendly Restaurant but they kept turning kids were running about and not one word was said yet we got terrible service, checked out without breakfast as wasn?t sure if any chefs , seems like little communication between there and hotel , would definitely not recommend, toilets need a good clean to .

Absolute rubbish our meals were cold only one choice of meat at carvery leftover turkey from Christmas no gammon or beef very disappointing I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone worst place I?ve ever eaten frozen fish they said was haddock my granddaughter had watery curry my grandson had something that was supposed to be spaghetti bolognese. Absolute disaster especially when it was my granddaughters birthday meal. ???????

Do not go here unless you fancy a night in hospital with food poisoning. Inexperienced staff. Chef serves up the worst carvery ever with a scowl. Zero atmosphere. And ran by two lovebirds who live on the premises and have more time for each other than the customers !! Had Christmas dinner here. Certainly was not festive. Do not recommend. Oh and if you have the grace to not cause a scene at the time but instead email with your complaint it?s not taken seriously as you didn?t complain at the time ! To who exactly. There were three staff on at the busiest time of the year ! Craig House!

TLDR: Food is bad, staff are worse.
Walked in, staff walked away. We followed, thinking he was leading me to a table but he just started cleaning. A woman came out and told us to leave as it was bookings only. It was basically empty and 5pm but okay sure. We went outside and went to check the website - we could book for right now? I went back in and there was a different staff member. ?Can we have a table for two?? ?Of course? he says and seats us. Ummm? what? Okay so the lady hates us?
Go to order from their ?value menu? which is ?available Monday to Friday before 6pm?. Lady shuffles into frame, leans into the man and tells him that we can?t order from that? so we order the exact same meals but pay an extra £13 or so because she didn?t want to honour that menu?
Food itself is what you?d expect from the level of service. Don?t get the sweet potato green curry - not even enough food for a child and only 4 pieces of potato.
Would not recommend. Will not go again.

Stayed here for the racing the premier inn is fantastic place to stay, however the brewers fayre needs get there act together the service is terrible,had to queue for drinks and food.only a short members of staff who can't cope don't really blame the staff as they are trying there best.needs a revamp giving the premier Inn a bad name.

The place is a dump!
The window frames and ceiling cladding were rotting. The toilets were filthy and disgusting.
The food was horrible, I had the gammon, which was mostly fat, their chef couldn't even get the egg right. The peas were nice though, I suppose!
My gf had the sirloin steak (med/well) which was also over-cooked.
The only good point about the place were the 2 polite serving staff.
We won't be back.

I made an unfortunate decision to stop here for lunch. Waited for ages to be seated, clearly not enough staff. Ordered food and drinks at the bar but had to get one of the drinks from a self serve dispenser which wasn?t working properly (coke zero was rotten and flat) waited ages again at bar to get it replaced with normal coke but from draught, still rotten. Fish & chips arrived and the fish still had skin on under the batter and didn?t taste right. Then i discovered the salt dispenser was either empty or clogged, member of staff ask what I was up to while trying to find another working dispenser, when I told her she just laughed. As I write this I still have an after taste of that horrible fish 6hrs later. Definitely a place to avoid.
