Came here for a business dinner. I didn't stay in the hotel. The restaurant was nice and staff were pleasant. The starters were all good and enjoyed by everyone and they served a complimentary appetiser too. There were a lot of downsides though that are worth noting:- First off, I would suggest ordering more than one side if you have an appetite. The portions are tiny. If you order a steak, that is literally all that comes on the plate with a small garnish. The veal consisted of 5 morsels of meat and some sauce.- Next up, the cost. A steak will cost you £30 straight up, one side such as a small portion of salad or a few chips will cost another £5. Want a sauce with your steak? Another £3. That's nearly £40 without a starter, drink or a dessert and you will still leave hungry.- The quality of the food seems to be hit and miss from my experience and from reading other reviews. My fillet steak was tasty enough and cooked how I'd asked it to be cooked, but it was pretty dry. Other people on my table had mixed experiences.- The mushrooms... Well.. Here's the story. I ordered garlic mushrooms as a side. They were inedible. I'm not being dramatic here either. The amount of salt on the mushrooms was dangerous. I can only assume the lid came off the salt shaker when they prepared them. Had I even been able to eat them, they would have certainly made me sick. No human could eat that much salt without vomiting. I politely mentioned this to the waitress who apologised and offered to get some more. More came out, and they were exactly the same! No offer of a refund or recompense was made. Everyone else on the table tried them and agreed. Some of them couldn't even swallow them, they were so bad.- Finally, the waiting times for food were just too long. We arrived at 6pm, sat down just before 7pm and didn't get served our mains until around 9pm.Overall it was pretentious, overpriced, and generally disappointing.

Founded by the well known hotelier Ken McCulloch in 2006 and named after the equally well known Aircraft, the monolithic hotel stands proudly overlooking the M8 motorway, midway between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The interior, like everything in the hotel, is classy, stylish and subdued. The grill room is famous for its steaks and justifiably so. My order of medium rare was exactly that. The meal was faultless, the service was faultless and the restaurant surroundings were quality throughout. Great place to relax and feel special with an emphasis on the steaks.Big shout out to Neave who endured my silly humour with professionalism while giving us the best service possible.

Phenomenal decor. 5 star venue. Reception staff are lovely. Had breakfast at the hotel even though we were not staying at the hotel (I recommend booking this)Cooked breakfast was very flavourful and nice. Continental selection is small but nice.We sat in the Lobby by the fire and had a drink which was so relaxing and wonderful.

Just stopped here for the superchargers but had to pop in to register my car, 2 people working inside were incredibly helpful considering we were not even staying

The hotel uses questionable methods with its parking lot to make money from tourists. There is a camera at the entrance that photographs the license plates. There is also a tiny sign there that advertises 1 hour of free parking after registration. If you go to the supercharger there and charge, registration is also required. The problem is that this is not normal practice and is resulting in more tourists being asked to pay. Since I assume that such unfair business practices are not only used in one area, I would think twice about staying in this hotel.

I left an expensive pair of jeans in the room which were taken by housekeeping staff. Despite 3 checks by staff they could not be located. They then reappeared after several calls saying staff member had put them in a different location??The bar was cold and uncomfortable. The fryer was broken so the menu was very limited but they still charged me £42 for a pint and steak with potatoes! The breakfast was a very average self service buffet for £20! Poor value! The room air con was faulty and made the room uncomfortable. It?s usually a good hotel but it was not a great experience on this occasion.

Nice hotel, nice rooms, pleasant atmosphere. Food very limited due to renovation work, and some items very expensive but not large portions.Rooms: Sky HD and Sky Sports package a nice addition. Good size room and shower, clean with a desk to work at and a chair to relax in.

Luxury hotel, very clean! My wife and I stayed in the Signature Suite, which had its own living room area, and both the living room and bedroom areas had their own TV complete with sky TV.The mini bar is fully stocked and complimentary.Would recommend if looking for a luxury overnight stay.Walkability: Nothing nearby to walk to.Food & drinks: Complimentary mini bar

Meal was delicious, home made sour dough bread with pomodore sauce was fab, crispy duck salad very tasty, had a long wait for our mains but fillet steak exquisite with massive hash browns and chilli sauce unbelievably delicious and cod was pan fried with lemon sauce very tasty.
