I visited the anchor hotel for lunch. The bar and restaurant are cozy and the staff are very friendly. Good option in town for a beer/spirit and seafood. Have other options like pizzas or hamburgers but I did not try them.

Was there for a meal only. Great food, fish pie was tasty, onion rings were one of the best, light batter, delicious. Pasta with lobster from specials board was really good.
There was a few annoying flies so we kept waving and protecting our food ?
The service has room for improvement. We came in and were standing at the door for ages waiting for someone?s attention, a few staff member passed by and nobody asked anything even though the place was still empty as we booked an early slot.

Just nipped in for a meal with my wife on Sunday afternoon after booking a table for 2, food was absolutely amazing and the staff were fantastic, will definitely be back soon.

This is a strange review as we stayed and ate here. Staying the room was very small but clean, although the bathroom could do with a refit and you could hear everything through the walls of the neighbouring room.
The resteraunt was different. A wonderful selection of seafood dishes and there was burgers and steaks too. Really good food for a decent price and great service too.
Breakfast was very good too.

Had a lovely lunch at The Anchor in a beautiful location. The choices were endless and what we ordered was delicious. Staff very friendly. Would recommend a visit.
