Stayed here for two weeks for work and was worth the while staying, lovely staff and the food is great. They couldn?t do enough for me and made it a nice stay. Will definitely try and stay again, the hiller club sandwich is too die for and if you want something smaller try the hiller stack yum yum and more yum. It?s nice to stay somewhere where there is a personality and a nice place with really nice people. You can keep travelodge I will have the Hiller. Bar on site and beer garden ample parking can get busy but the food and staff are awesome.

Had a nice stay at Hillside Hotel. It's a small hotel, so don't expect people to always be around waiting for you. You wait patiently. It's the Scottish way. I didn't have too long to wait anyway before someone came in and assisted me on check-in. There are no issues in terms of service. Very friendly staff from check-in to breakfast to check-out.
I do have 2 comments, though (1) there was no shampoo provided. I've never been in any hotel or BNB with no shampoo! I don't remember seeing any warning on this on their website. If they did, I could have bought one for my personal use (2) I decided I'll just have a quick clean using the soap provided but unfortunately when I unfolded one of the towels, I saw something crawling - I think its a cockroach. That stopped me from getting into the shower at all. I'll just wait until I get home!
Shame as I did enjoy my bed, my sleep, and my food.

Lousy breakfast - only white bread and serials.The building needs cleaning! Webs on all floors... Sticky carpets. Noice from roads and railway.Next time I'd rather stay in Aberdeen and pay for a taxi each day...

Very friendly and nice staff. I'm sorry to say but this was one of the worst facilities I've been to. Extremely dirty. Non-existent and very dirty breakfast with plates full of oil. Room service does not exist.

arrive here in the early hours of the morning having travelled 12 hours to start work that morning the room was freezing no heating on had to sleep in my clothes and wear a hat terrible the heating was put on during the day when i came back from work but must of gone off over night as the room was freezing again in the morning found a mouldy orange in the fruit bowl disgusting

This has to be the worst hotel room I've ever been in. It was dirty, run down and certainly not worth the £70 fee for the night. It was a last minute booking and the bed was comfy enough but cleanliness and maintenance were both very much low on the priorities.There were sanitary wrappings on the floor next to the toilet, the seat of which was hanging off, the bin had the previous occupants shampoo sachet in it, the shower head was black with mould, no handle on the bathroom door and the remote control needed dipped in sanitiser.Breakfast isn't even something I'd give my kids, who has cupcakes from Farmfoods and I can't remember ever eating chocolate hoops?The most disappointing was the lack of staff presence, especially in the morning.... zero hospitality after the money is taken.If this is a last resort then be prepared otherwise avoid.
