Food pleasant and cheap. Can't cook (rare) a steak. Shame there was no haddock.

Absolutely fantastic food and service nothing was too much for the Nicole and her staff. Highly recommended as I never leave 5 star reviews unless I receive outstanding service and it was outstanding we will be visiting again before we return home and thank you again for the fantastic meal and service

An excellent venue hidden away for travellers heading from or to the ferry. Calm environment with an outdoor play area makes it ideal for family stopovers. Good was very fastly serviced and was great pub grub.

Absolutely filthy...not a single table outside clean... rubbish strewn everywhere out a bin...which staff walked over...cutlery from previous diners lying on grass...looks like not recently...we didn't order....left and went into Mauchline instead.
Management want looking at...staff want the hairdryer treatment...abysmal!

I took my grand daughter here for the toddlers soft play, and she loved it. She's only 18 months old, and it was great to see kids the same age playing without getting shoved about by older ones. The lady in the soft play was amazing. She went up and into the areas and helped the wee ones explore. All you can eat breakfast for both of us cooked and continental plus juice, coffee tea etc. Will definitely bring her back to this as she had a great time.

Very disappointed we were a party of 24 of which 5 were children the staff were clearly under pressure and doing their best however the majority of the food didn't arrive after an hour and the food that did arrive was cold or inedible with most of our party accepting a refund it will be a while before we are back

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! After taking 10 minutes to order at the till and having issues with the card reader, they charged me more than the menu said for an extra and a full bottle of wine when I asked for 250ml glass. They refunded us but made it seem like it was our fault and my husband had to help them figure out how much they owed us back as they couldn?t figure it out. My food came which I asked for no bacon and the server said she would make sure there was no bacon on my order? there was bacon. I let them know and they brought my food back with the bacon just peeled off it. I said it needed to be fresh so after bringing a ?fresh? one back (they did apologise) it was barely warm so I still doubt that it was fresh. I had to ask for my garlic bread back as it was on the original dish but disappeared on the last dish. My husbands luke warm steak came which he paid extra for the peppercorn sauce but that didn?t come till we asked. The manager and employees were a bit rude to each other and the manager was also serving tables and was dropping chips all over the floor. They did give us a full refund and apologised which I appreciate but I won?t be coming back.

Been lots of time but this was by far the worst food we have had. 4 adults and not one had chips that were not overcooked. 2 fish were oozing oil as they were cut very disappointed.
Also asked for the meal deal but it was sold out so daughter was told we have foam with skin on, up sold 2 fish instead of £13 were £13 each.

Love this place, but unfortunately the steak was unedible as it was so tough. I couldn't even cut it. The waitress just said "I'm everso sorry about that" no mention off discount on meal or free pud sadly. I'd go back as I like it there but definitely won't order the steak again xxx

Finding somewhere to eat with a Coeliac can be challenging, so we looked up the menu and allergen information before we went. My daughter was excited to see on the website that she could have a burger with a gluten-free bun. She was given a book with all the allergen information to use alongside the menu, which was really helpful. However, when she ordered the burger with gluten-free bun, she was told that they never have the gluten-free buns at the restaurant. She was disappointed but opted for the hunter's chicken with mash instead.
I ordered steak and the steak itself was beautiful - a good size and cooked perfectly for my taste. It's a shame that the peas that came with it were inedible as they were far too overcooked.
The food was good overall, but the toilets need a refresh and some toilet roll. It was also disappointing to be sat in the family dining area as our children are mature teenagers, though on the plus side it was quiet because we were eating later and for most of our meal we were the only table in that part of the restaurant.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options available, but they may not have everything that the website says they have. There is a book available which lists all the allergens in all the meals.

A lovely place to visit for all the family. Nice and clean and the food was good.
Parking: Plenty of parking at the side of the building.
Kid-friendliness: There is a kids play area inside the building.
