The man who took our order (according to the receipt it was Calum M) at the bar was one of the rudest persons we had encountered. Very rude and huffing and puffing all the time!! Seemed too much under pressure to be in this customer facing job? Seemed like he was going to have a heart attack when we asked for three cokes. Asked for a pint of Stella, but rather than saying Sorry we do not have it, was rude telling us they had run out!! My wife has over thirty years of experience in the hospitality trade and was disgusted by his attitude. I wanted to speak to the manager about it, but I was warned not too - as knowing what this man?s attitude was, he would probably have spat in our food!! Girls went to the toilets and were nearly sick - not cleaned and s**t everywhere, obviously not checked by staff at all. Very disappointing as we had gone out for a special family meal. Usually ok, but certainly not today!!! Two of us ordered food for the same table, one after the other, but it was nearly thirty minutes between my daughter getting their food and my wife I getting ours. Absolutely dire!!Food not good and kids dishes very minimal. I asked to speak to the manager, she was not helpful at all and would not accept what was said - needed lessons in being a manager -,accused me of shouting at her, which I was not- witnesses to vouch for me. My £20 mixed grill was cold and when I complained about the food rather then apologising the manager and getting me another plate, took my food away and said I would be getting my money back. My wife?s steak and ale pie had one piece of steak in it. The mashed potatoes were a weird colour and very lumpy. When told about the state of the toilets, rather than apologising the ?manager? said we only check them at the end of the night-!! No sign in sheet - I thought they were supposed to be checked every hour?. Absolutely disgusting, will be sending a letter of complaint to Brewers Fayre. Looking at the recent feedback I am surprised that Brewers Fayre have not taken any action about this place.

Great place for kids to get their dinner and enjoy the soft play, Aaron and Lynn were really helpful. Food was lovely and will defo return

Cannot fault the restaurant, they all do an amazing job, very professional and approachable staff, can't do enough to make us feel most welcome. A special thanks to Nico, (I hope I've spelt that correctly), who always appears happy in they're work place and is a very polite and courteous young person. The food, service and overall experience in this restaurant has got to be down to the managers, Fiona does an exceptional job and appears to lead her team on, as she herself is not afraid of hard work. Thank you so much Fiona for making our dining experiences the most enjoyable.

There were 10 of us altogether celebrating a 65th and a 92nd birthday. We had had a terrible experience in 2022 at the exact same time of year but decided to give it another go.... Well this time the experience was fantastic, the food was amazing cooked well and tasted delicious ? The service of Stacey,Sarah, Amy and Emily was fantastic and really looked after us all including the kids. The birthday girls even received a card and some chocolates for their birthdays ? Will definitely be back again and can't thank the staff enough.

All of the Staff here were lovely but one stood out in particular, a lady named Stacey, who accommodated me and my anxiety with patience, kindness and understanding. So, if her managers are seeing this, please ensure Stacey is duly recognised for being exceptional in her role and a future leader or GM. In addition to this, the food was absolutely perfect. This is the second brewer's Fayre that I can say this about, please note, I am not an overly fussy eater but I am aware of what is good quality and what is not. I asked for my steak and eggs to be cooked a specific way and they were wonderful! I would whole-heartedly recommend this venue to anyone visiting the area.

Took my family to Monkton Lodge for Christmas Dinner as we are away for Christmas. We where met at the door by Nicol, who was so friendly and helpful. He took us to our table and made sure we knew what to do. We chose from the festive menu, which we found to be excellent. I went to the bar to be served by Aaron who was patient and recommended certain dishes. He was so helpful and treat us like old friends. We were served very quickly by Evie who left us to eat at our speed and brought us anything we wanted. Aaron made sure that throughout the night we were happy with everything. We will definitely be going again. As the food was great the service was fabulous and the price was fantastic.

Won't be back in any of this groups restaurants, you can get much better food elsewhere for cheaper, with better service too!! We visited for Christmas lunch at 1.30 p m.We were told after ordering that there was no turkey, and no pigs in blankets in fact not serving Christmas menu!! We had smothered chicken and chicken and ham pie,one of which is on the festive Christmas menu! We both had dessert from the Christmas menu, of Christmas pudding and After eight Sundae, so what's going on? I had to ask for a fresh glass for my wine as glass was all marked! Very disappointed, shouldn't be running out of festive menu ingredients in the middle of a lunch service??? Are you serving Christmas menu or not folks, make your mind up! The atmosphere here is very much Oh that will do, well it won't! If you just can't be bothered close your doors! Don't advertise and promise meals that you either can't be bothered cooking parts of it, run out of ingredients for or have no pride in!That's the atmostphere, no pride in your service or your food! Times are hard and it's just not good enough when folks pay out their hard earned cash for a nice lunch especially at Christmas to be met with this!! Will go else where next time for less and get much better food and service! Avoid this establishment, they are not interested!!!

Had the Mixed Grill, best meal I have had for ages. Facilities excellent, staff extremely friendly. If passing worth a visit. Also great soft play area.

We hired the soft play on Saturday evening, for a family party. Was so lovely having the soft play to our selfs, Emily the young girl in the soft play was great, she helped us move tables and decorate the place, nothing was too much. Will absolutely book monkton lodge for all further family gatherings. Thanks again.

Went her tonight 17/11/23 for food after a long drive home from England, we ordered off the Christmas menu we both had pati came on a plate with a slice of toast pati in a plastic tub and a blob of chutney on the plate , my partner ordered the samoan which he enjoyed, i had the turkey was horrible the parsnips and roast potatoes were black sprouts were full off water gravy was like water couldn't eat it , no check back i did wait for over 10 mins for one but no one came so we left and i was still starving will definitely not be back

I had my daughters 2nd Birthday Party at the Brewers Fayre Soft Play Monkton Lodge and I would like to thank the amazing gentleman Nichol who was in charge of the organising. He was just lovely and very professional at his job. He was extremely attentive and made the whole experience run smoothly. Thank You x

Another great visit to tire the kids out at the soft play after being in Ayr. Squeezed us in as very busy and food was good.
