Ruth and Sandy are wonderful! I worked at their house and they treated me very well! If you are looking for something good and reliable, you can go to HazelBank.

Hazel Banks B&B is the place to be. Not just because Ruth is a lovely and welcoming host, which she is. Also not because breakfast is the finest, homecooked, gluten free and with fresh forest fruit. It's all the small, extra things that makes staying here memorable. The soft dressing gowns and slippers, the welcome drinks in the crystal glasses, with a chocolate on top. The homebaked shortbread to compliment the tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The bottle of water for when you wake up in the night with a dry mouth. The collections of handcream, soap and shampoo. And lots of other things you might have forgotten. Ruth thought of everything.

Wow,wow, wow. Ruth was a fantastic host, friendly, welcoming & attentive.
Room was lovely, I was in an ensuit with my partner. £100 per night.
Room was comfy. Had a kettle, hairdryer, t.v, iron & ironing board, trouser press, complimentary sherry in s decanter, bottle of water. Even the little details of earbuds, facepads.
Breakfast was amazing. I had fresh fruit with yoghurt, toast with Ruth's homemade jam, small vegetarian breakfast in which Ruth catered for tea and apple juice.
Cereals we're also offered.
I will definitely go back.

Great little B&B. Stopped here as very convenient location for a job in moffat town. Just a minute walk into town. Ruth was brilliant. Couldn't do enough for you. Room and bathroom clean and tidy. Can use the dinning room for food bought back to the house. Breakfast was fantastic and cooked fresh, with a good choice of cereals and fruit also. Will most likely book again when next in moffat.

My campervan had broken down prior to travelling and I was due in Moffat for a Geocaching event. This was a last minute booking and I fell on my feet!Booking was easy by e mail and I got a very fast response to my query, three nights stay.On arrival I was greeted in a friendly manor by Ruth and shown to my room. It contained everything I could have wanted and needed including a decanter of sherry. The bed was comfortable and I slept well.Breakfast lived up to its reputation and I didn't need lunch on any of the days while out walking!I would definitely stay here again.

The owner ( Ruth ). really goes above & beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. She knows pretty much everyone in Moffat, which made my stay even more pleasurable. I will definitely be staying again if i am up that way.

I had to book somewhere with a days notice and was concerned about where we would find. I didn?t need to worry, a phone call and Ruth booked us in for 2 rooms for the following evening. There was plenty of parking around and Moffat is a lovey area for a wander around - we found a short walk down by the river which was beautiful- even in the rain! Ruth made sure we had everything we needed and the rooms were clean and comfortable - the bed sheets were like a 5 star hotel! Lots of lovely little touches - the sherry, chocolates and shortbread. Small iron and ironing boards as well as hairdryer and sewing kit - Everything has been well thought through including the toiletries which included a small sleep spray. The b and b itself is nice and quiet - we were at the back and there was no road noise. Breakfast in the dining room was fabulous- 2 of our party enjoyed the full Scottish whilst I took advantage of the cold selection - a brilliant spread including cereals, museum, seeds, freshly cut fruit including pomegranate and yoghurts - all included in the very reasonable cost. Thank you Ruth for your hospitality- we may very well make a stop in Moffat at the Hazel Bank part of our annual trip to Edinburgh.

Fantastic biker friendly B&B. Amazing comfortable beds, incredibly warm and friendly welcome, and a cracking hearty Scottish breakfast. Secure motorbike parking around the corner if required, although you can leave it on the road outside with no worries. We will return. Thank you.
