We had the big breakfast - sustained us all the way back to London. Perfectly cooked with good quality haggis, Lorne, bacon. Staff were friendly and very efficient in such a busy cafe.

Called in for mid-morning coffee and it was pleasing to see the establishment was busy.Coffee was served quickly and was good, so no issues there.Recommended to pop in for a drink and/or snack if you are in the area.

Always stop here in Moffat for lunch on our travels through Scotland... they never ever disappoint to fill our bellies, this café is a family favourite that we always look forward to.Service is quick, staff are welcoming and recognise us every year, it's always busy but that's great for them as they deserve every good customer they get.I recommend the hot chocolate with cream.

Love this place. We had Sunday breakfast there, one standard traditional breakfast and one mini traditional breakfast, both were excellent. Nicely cooked quality ingredients, not full of grease.

I often go to this cafe for ice cream tubs although not cheap it is good. I asked if dogs were allowed in and they said no which is fine as some people don't like dogs. So I went the next day when the sun was shining and asked if they would be putting a couple of chairs outside so I could have a coffee to be told "no we don't have enough staff". At the time there was 3 people behind the counter not looking that busy!! I have come to the conclusion this is the most dog unfriendly place in Moffat

this is a brilliant family run, Italian Style Cafe/restaurant that i visit regularly, their breakfasts and filled roll?s are legendary, and the homemade soups and toasties / Paninis are just amazing. staff are friendly and the service is super fast go visit the next time you are in Moffat, you won?t be disappointed, lastly prices are really reasonable compared with lots of other places.

We had looked this place up as we were travelling through Moffat on our way home from further south, it had opening hours until 5 pm on the Sunday however when we got there at 3.30 we were advised the kitchen closed at 3pm so we could not get food only drinks and cake. Although disappointed we did end up having drinks and cake which was enjoyable. Just be aware if you want food you will need to be there before 3pm on a Sunday, not sure about other days? A bit poor that this was not detailed online.

Stayed in Moffat last week abd discovered this little gem. Funky cafe and the most amazing breakfasts.. The haggis is best I've had. Scrambled eggs to perfection and delicious bread.

There's no Ecclefechan Tart in Ecclefechan but there definitely is here baked by Russell the owner. Have it with local ice cream and a coffee. Superb. Venue is delightfully warm and friendly too.

This little cafe is absolutely brilliant. We use it every time we go to Moffat on our way to Wales and to Gretna shopping outlet. The staff are amazing, very friendly and efficient. The food is really tasty. We have had quite a few dishes, and each one was fantastic. I would definitely recommend Cafe Ariete.

We stopped in this cafe during a coach tour for a cup of tea. Service and product were average though not expensive but during our stay one of the staff, a flame haired young girl left her place behind the counter to talk to friends outside whose dog she petted vigorously. She then went straight back behind the counter to serve drinks and snacks without any attempt to wash or cleanse her hands. Good job I wasn't a health inspector.
