I got a burger and chips when paying for it one member of staff asked how much to charge it was posted on the menu £2.30 for a cheese burger so the 10 chips i got must have been £4.70 unless it was the salt that was really expensive. I got the feeling it was just a case of let's rip off the outsider. Working down here for the next few weeks won't go near the place again. Burger was re heated in micro and hard round the edges. Steer clear great wee shop for rolls in Minishant 5mins away

What a great little find on our way home from Turnberry we came across Simpsons! 2 ladies serving who were both extremely helpful. Lots of choice, great food & very well priced.

Found this by complete accident whilst on holiday from Blackpool.
Absolutely fantastic service, people, food, atmosphere and local characters.
Had beans on toast with fried eggs and local cake.
Had s good chat with staff.
10 out of 10.

horrible women with dirty greasy blonde hair and glasses didn't even wash her hands when handling money and then touching food kept in dirty plastic containers on the shelf. Won't be returning. Disgusting.

Was in today getting a few filled rolls and soup , the soup was sweet potato and chilli it was absolutely amazing , I have been to a lot off fine dining restaurants etc but by far this soup was the best ever , the filled rolls where so tasty too , the staff where all so nice and friendly , I will definitely be back soon , Thankyou too you all

Great service. Cooked food looked fresh despite not ordering any other reviews saying otherwise. Always busy with people eager to get their breakfast, brunch or lunch. Cakes look like they're made locally. Prices are awesome. regularly queues out the door. They must be doing something right!

Best Scotch pie I've tasted in a long long time. Few disgruntled customers going by the reviews here, glad I didn't read them before I dropped in while passing through, service was spot on too, but I wouldn't have minded so much if it hadn't been, rare to get a pie that tasty these Greggs-saturated days.

Traveled down to Stranraer a few times on the A77, and with the current COVID Lock down, finding somewhere for a takeaway coffee and roll is pretty limited, with most cafe's shut. Simpsons on Maybole Main Street was open, and have stopped here a few times. Always sure of a good roll (I enjoy their cheese salad roll) whenever I have visited, though coffee not all that great. Good prices and staff are friendly enough.

Was in waiting to view a house one grey haired was lovely told me to take a seat and brought my order lovely women and my bacon roll was superb with my cup of tea, when I tried to pay a horrible woman shunned me in favour of people that arrived after me for an order which I understood,but I never got table service can't wait till I live there and see her unfriendly face again
