The perfect lunch stop if you're taking a day trip to Mallaig. We'd taken the Scotrail from Fort William (which might just be the most beautiful train journey in the country) and arrived hungry, but unsure where to eat. Fortunately we found The Tea Garden. The fresh prawns were superb and tasted like they'd been caught that morning! Nice sandwiches and a good selection of local beers too. Very friendly staff and very quick service, which allowed us enough time to explore the town before taking the train back.

Loved their Cullen skink soup! We also had the cheddar toastie and the tuna/mayo toasties. Delicious. Super nice staff members as well! Ps. very clean bathroom!

£3.85 for a tasteless milky flat white or a whopping £4.70 is you want an additional shot. I know that everything is getting more expensive but this does feel a bit much. Not impressed.

Nice place in Mallaig. We had cake, hot chocolate and tea.

Friendly service, but £8 quid for a mediocre breakfast bun with 2 eggs is poor.

Had Cullen skink and the bramble apple cake with tea. The Cullen skink is delicious, one of the best we had. Lovely service, quick, nice seating. Prices are similar in all restaurants in this little town, depending on what you order. We had a soup each, pot of tea each and shared a slice of cake, and came up to about £30.

Wide selection of food and drink. Fairly busy as it is almost (if not) the first restaurant getting off the train. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. We tried the fish n chips, crab sandwiches, lentil soup. All wonderful. Be warned the prawn tails come with shells on (our mistake thinking it was more like shrimp scampi).

The food was good, the coffee with ice cream generous! The mackerel pate was very good but could be a bit more generous for the price, and they had no decaf. But overall very good if you?re in the area!
