Difficult to get a table!
I cannot knock the local beer, but not to my taste.
A place owned and run by locals for locals.

Great service in spite of us being 30 mins late for our booking. My son and I walked for two days to get to this magnificent location. Have to say the burger and beer tasted sublime after all that effort. And three musicians started up just to complete the experience. Thanks to the staff for feeding two hungry hikers?

Nice pub, good atmosphere and prices were cheaper than expected.

We shared the fish and chips - a huge piece of battered cod and big plate of delicious fries. The locally brewed bitter on tap is worth the boat ride over!

Advertises as being totally inaccessible with influencers and videos on social media claiming the only way is by hike or a small boat. Ferries run regularly with cars being able to access the ROADS around this area. If they are even dishonest about how to access the place, it makes me wonder how awful the service must be if you actually visit.
Wheelchair accessibility: Even advertise as their whole area being entirely inaccessible when there are actually a number of roads and ferries etc that are entirely wheelchair accessible.

Great place, very good beer and food, especially considering the remoteness.
The service from the French lady and the guy from Kirriemuir was super.
Hope to return sometime.

This is such an old pub steeped in history. A proper pub. The ales are excellent and astonishing value. It's definitely a regulars pub with an older generation (on my visits anyway) always up for a chat It's my go to destination after a long walk. Please give it a go, it's wonderful and I'd hate to see it go. No food but it's got a jukebox! . No parking but there is, a huge car park a couple of minutes away in Back Street. Has a small garden to the rear.

Fantastic place! Exceeded our expectations. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The old negative reviews below are because of the pub's previous owner, apparently.

Is the only best drink in town :-)
