An excellent restaurant located in one of my favourite places in the world.

Beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast and the restaurant is fantastic. Cara very kindly opened up just for us on an evening, and we were treated to one of the best vegetarian meals we?ve had anywhere! Better food than the pub

Spacious, clean rooms with an amazing view. Very handy for the village and the start of many local walks, including the hills. 2 mins from the ferry. Lovely food.

Our last minute trip to the beautiful Knoydart peninsula found us looking for alternative digs when we realised the bunkhouse was sold out.
This place was easily worth the extra outplaying (still very reasonable)
Not only is it location closer to the Ferry, the views across the water where stunning.
We received a warm highland welcome and found ourselves in a very comfortable and lovely accommodation.
The beds where very comfy, much needed after 4 days of hiking/cycling, the shower was amazing and the full Scottish breakfast in the morning was freshly made, delicious and well presented.
The owner Cara is a very likeable women and Shea comes across as a natural host, a people person and made us feel very welcome.
The kind of place that enhances your visit to an area, one we would certainly recommend to family and friends and hope to stay if we are lucky enough to return.
Thanks again.

Wonderful B&B in a remote part of Scotland. Rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable, Food at the adjoining lookout was sensational.

A quiet, pleasant, lonely place. Here you can relax. All the residents on the island and the owners are very nice and friendly. Great breakfast. Great surroundings... and the pub is just great!

We stayed at The Gathering and ate at The Lookout.
Both the food and the service was excellent, and the rooms comfortable.
An early breakfast in the morning set us up for a long day ?
Recommended.

Our first time in Knoydart and staying at the Gathering & Lookout and we are already trying to figure out when we can come back. If you are not hiking in then you must arrive by the passenger only ferry run by Western Isles Cruises in Mallaig (very nice people, excellent customer service for reservations etc). Our en suite room at The Gathering was very spacious, comfortable and well maintained. Eating at The Lookout, Cara, Shay and the rest of the staff did a wonderful Breakfast and Dinner service with some of the best meals we've had on our trip. A lovely place to kick back and relax in a beautiful setting.Rooms: Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The en suite bathroom was huge. Great value!Nearby activities: Less than a 5' walk to the Community Pub, Store and Tea Room. Plenty of hiking opportunities from easy to challengingWalkability: Walkability is excellent. There is a very limited number of cars so walking is really the major method of getting aroundFood & drinks: The food at the Lookout was very good! Locally sourced ingredients and produce - freshly prepared. Quality and quantity were excellent. The Pub has the locally produced beer on tap.

Amazing views, Amazing host, Amazing food, and a hot tub. What more can you ask for. Cara, our host even provided an early 7.15am breakfast on our final days stay, then drove us down to the jetty so we could get the 8am sailing back to Mallaig.

Situated close to the peer, brewery and village centre with great views south over the lock. Warm and comfortable rooms, loads of space for drying and muddy boots, very hospitable and great plentiful food.

After hiking in from Glenfinnan, our group of four was in desperate need of a shower and a hot meal - beds would be a bonus. We did not have reservations, but fortunately, we met Cara in town and she was gracious enough to accommodate us! The rooms were very comfortable and the food was delicious. The service provided by Cara and her staff was excellent. I cannot recommend highly enough!
