Man, make sure you have a reservation. If you arrive without one, not only will you get turned away, which is okay, but you?ll need to stare face to face with a young waitress who is absolutely disgusted by you, your wife and your small dog for even daring to ask for a table. There?s a Co-Op which is open until 22:00. They won?t hate you there.

All in all really good, only things to improve, door slams at the entrance of the hotel upstairs and there the carpet needs to be taken out as it smells very unpleasant and smokey. Still was a very good authentic stay.

A very good no frills hotel/bar. The rooms are above the bar, but we found that there wasn't too much noise, be warned there are some steep steps. Had some food in the bar which was good, the breakfast was fair but should do with some notice on what is available.

This was the worst food by far while touring Scotland. I ate one bite of my fish and chips and was disgusted. The fish was grease filled and had a very off putting taste. My wife had haddock risotto and she only ate one bite. We had to ask our waiter for the bill which was the only time she came over after food was delivered. Nobody asked how it tasted, I figured two plates of food said enough! Avoid and try somewhere else.

And I only had starters!seafood chowder, mushrooms cooked with cheese, and the house made beer

A proper fishermen's pub with maritime relics covering every inch of wall space. The seafood chowder - packed with locally caught haddock and mussels - tastes like the sea distilled. Live folk music on weekends gets toes tapping on the flagstone floor.

Horrible service in the pub, constantly being ignored, lazy, disinterested staff. Would highly recommend to avoid this place and recommend to owner to replace all wait and bar staff
