Reservation for October 29th. We arrive at 3.20pm, departure at 4pm, and are told it's cancelled. No one warned us, we had to retrace our steps, a 2-hour detour. What a shame.

Great Birdseye view from the upper deck.- they let us catch the earlier ferry so that was a result. Watch out for parking attendants in town, they are on it like a car bonnet!. First few minutes of trip all the car alarms go off due to manoeuvring but they all settle down once the ferry gets underway. There are shops and cafes on board and the views are just stunning. We travelled from here to the Isle of Skye - we were offloaded without delay and on our way within a few minutes.

Absolutly unreliable!! We booked our group for 9am weeks ahead and this was confirmed. They changed it to 8am two days before the trip and when we arrived to the port they told us that they let us go at 2pm without any information about that :-( Use a bridge if you can. Avoid this ferry!!

Nice staff but extremely unreliable service. Tried to take it 2x. First time the weather, then 'technical issues'.Both times we were notified short before departure on the way to the port.I would avoid unless it's the only option to complete the trip.

CalMac staff do a wonderful job considering the age and shortage of vessels they have to work with. I am a regular customer and gave always found the staff to be helpful, polite and efficient.Help them to help you by booking your ferry in advance.
