Overlooks a beautiful beach. We had a good coffee and tea outside after a dog walk. Good service. Didn't have food as I am gluten free and we went near closing time, nothing left that day.

Went here to meet up with family members who went off for a game of golf, got here and found e space for our cars to park in car park just down from the bistro, once we parked walked about five minutes up to the bistro, as it was sunny and warm we sat outside to the views of Turnberry, and coastline, once we decided on our order and sat chatting we got our food and all I can say it was delicious, the staff were very patient and helpful and cheerful. Would highly recommend coming here for a bite to eat.

great for a quick stop

Having two dogs on the only windy day of the week was a mistake. Dog owners eat on the lovely covered veranda. The food was delicious. Tomato & Basil soup with a cheese toastie combo. Chicken Pakora and a coronation chicken panini. All lovely as was the mocha and latte.
We plan to return later in the week as the forecast is for sunshine.
This is a delightful wee cafe.

Great place. The food is excellent. The staff are pleasant and the service is very good. It's a lovely wee place to relax and absorb the beautiful scenery while you eat. Would definitely recommend

Its a nice looking place with a great outside area and views across the bay. That said, I've been here twice now and both times the service has been very poor. The last time, to be fair, the young waitresses were fine but the older lady was rude and a little bit strange.
The smells from the kitchen were great but the food was actually disappointing.

Food was lovely. Staff were great with our big hairy labradoodle and made a fuss of him and brought him his own huge tray of chopped up ham.

Two of us went here mid afternoon on a weekday, the place was less than half full. The lady server asked us to take a seat without barely looking at us - not very welcoming. We sat at a table for quite some time with no menu while tables around us were cleared. After a further wait, we decided to leave. This was very disappointing as Ropes was recommended to us by friends.
