“What a wonderful experience - I travel a lot for work and generally as a single person get little to no service, nor the nicest rooms. This could not be further from my experience here!All of the staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful from start to finish. The food is amazing and by far one of the nicest meals I've had on my travels - for a reasonable price too. The bar and hotel have a lovely, cosy feel with a modern touch.The room I was in had everything you could need with some nice extra details like a well equipped and very modern bathroom, the biggest bed I've ever seen, the room was warm and had a comfy chair with 2 windows to look out of over beautiful views of the sea and harbour, even in winter weather.Parking is ample and easy - no need to register your vehicle or pay to park. I highly recommend and will definitely return, both for work and with the family.Rooms: Spacious and well equipped with 2 full length mirrors, a desk/vanity table with lovely views from the window and tea/coffee facilities on a small side table to give more desk space was a nice touch. A comfy chair is provided to view the second window and the bed was huge and very comfortable!Also ample hanging/ storage space, power points on both sides of the bed and touch lamps for easy use. The radiator was on prior to arrival to ensure the room was comfortable and is adjustable to suit needs. A beautiful painting from Steven brown and a small but ideally sized TV between the windows finishes off the room nicely.The bathroom whilst compact is very modern and tasteful, with a large waterfall shower (no bath), a lovely sink with light up mirror and a heated towel rail (ideal for chilly days).Food & drinks: I had a wonderful turkey dinner with all the trimmings- however the extensive menu has lots of options including locally sourced fish/shell fish. Duck, venison, beef, pork and chicken to name a few. They also have great vegetarian choices, a wide array of burgers as well as Asian influenced options. The starters and desserts looked fantastic, I simply couldn't fit them in. Id also recommend their cocktails- the cranberry mojito was amazing.Service is quick, friendly and efficient.”
