Just had Dolly a 2007 Elddis Avante 362 serviced and habitation check. Excellent standard of work and very thorough. Talked me through service and habitation when I collected. Best service I have had to date.

On holiday in area and developed problems with the water system in our touring caravan. We called Davidson?s for advice 5 minutes before they were due to close and he was very helpful. Offered to repair our problem if we could get to him early the next day. Very welcoming on arrival. He had the replacement parts in stock and promptly repaired the problem, keeping the ?fully packed? van tidy. Checked the rest of the system too. The bill was very reasonable so will definitely recommend. Over the moon with the efficient and friendly service and now we can enjoy the rest of our holiday.

Bought a caravan from this company and trusted that everything was in working order, having paid nearly £20,000 for the unit..When the motor mover was found to be not working we took it back to be fixed and we?re charged £367.78.Our mistake was not to have everything checked and tested before we towed the caravan away from the company.Hey, lessons learned, but they knew the motor mover wasn?t working.Service: Electrical

Top service .we were in the area on holiday in our motorhome. I telephoned them at 9:15 to ask if they could look at my fridge as it wasn't working on gas . He told me to bring it around for a look . Got there at 9 :45 .He replaced the burner and jet . I was on my way by 10:30 . No messing about . Top job ,Top Lads .Thanks guys .

Factual review refraining from too much opinion. Brought my RV in for a quote to repair a whale water heater and an additional whale space heater. They called two days later saying all done. £849 to repair the space heater, forgot to look at the water heater. No quote provided. A new underfloor space heater is £749. I didn?t receive any quote to allow me to chose to have the work completed. The heater now works, workmanship is reasonable. Water heater not looked at, nor will I ask them to. Hence the two stars. Asked why no quote was produced ?we don?t do quotes here? I said if you had called and quoted I would have happily paid for labour so far and removed heater (I have 3) and stopped at that, focused on repairing the more important water heater. ?If you can?t afford the work, don?t come here?. I can afford a £50 pint, that doesn?t mean I?d like to pay for one. They had my number, all they had to do was call and give me the option of pulling the trigger or not but apparently that?s not my choice as the customer. Tried to negotiate returning parts, even them having the full unit, they wouldn?t move on price and didn?t want to negotiate. I like to support local business, was really happy to find them but disappointed that I wasn?t told ?we don?t do quotes? when I dropped it off on Monday morning?asking for a quote? Quite rude compared to my civil approach but of course that is my opinion. Just to warn you, from the conversation I had they operate a ?blank cheque? scenario without quotes so just know what you?re getting yourself into. If you can throw keys at someone and say ?fix it I don?t care what it costs? then I would recommend. Shame we couldn?t have had a long standing relationship as customer/local business.

Fantastic fast service for our motorhome when all other dealers I called in the region were not prepared to even look! We were on holiday and our 3 way fridge stopped working on gas and Davidsons fixed it within an hour having diagnosed that the burner was clogged. They even stocked the right replacement part, which demonstrates forward thinking. If they were closer we'd use them for all our motorhome servicing.

Had a problem with my fridge tripping electric hook up. Raymond discovered a water leak from sink was the problem causing element to blow and the gas burner was corroded. Fixed in five hours. Excellent service and knowledge of Motorhomes. Would not go anywhere else.

Called this morning with gas leak on day 1 of Scottish trip. Very kindly agreed to check gas system at 2pm on same day. Arrived at said time and investigation of gasit system started promptly, leaking pipe identified and replaced with new and pressure tested again. Can't speak highly enough about the sevice we received from both fitters.Would highly recommend

Took our caravan to Davidsons in Lockerbie for its annual service. They are popular and busy so we had to make a note to book earlier next time. However, we were met at the door in the morning with a smile, our van was unhitched, careful note was taken of all the niggles we would like to have sorted and by mid afternoon we had the phone call to say the van was ready. The only thing they couldn't fix was the buzz on one of the speakers which will need a new speaker. The van was hitched on, bill paid and we were off in good time. Cost? About £100 less than a previous service at Dumfries Caravan Centre. We hereby appoint Davidsons as our regular caravan carers. Thank you.
