lovely setting and decor, good food and service.
Update
My brother took me there this morning for breakfast, we had a full Scottish, which was, bacon, sausage, black pudding, potato scone, mushrooms and egg, also toast, with choice of white or brown bloomer along with either jam or marmalade,we had our table which was overlooking the outdoor deck area and fountains with a view of the Loch,so really enjoyed this treat from my brother.
We went back for breakfast again and this time I had the eggs benedict which were great, two poached eggs on a muffin with bacon and a mug of tea,the boatyard has a large carpark with blue badge spaces and there is a level entrance, watch out for the fishing monkey as you pass the water features.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a lovely relaxed feel. The breakfast was very tasty. The service was a little slow but for a leisurely breakfast that didn't bother me. It would be lovely if the staff were more welcoming. Not a single smile to be seen.

Arrived 1:30pm for a 1:45pm booking for a 90th birthday party. Seated pleasantly & quickly, served drinks quickly, starters then took a fair length of time and by 3:15pm still had not been served main courses. Zero attention from staff - truly awful. And cost £200! My main course was tough as old boots?.honey chicken. Very disappointing?.won?t be back.

A nice place to go for a meal. Food was average, bit overpriced for what it was. Staff were helpful and friendly.

What a beautiful restaurant! Food was delicious, with loads of choice, service was so friendly and accommodating, and I found the prices reasonable for the quality of food. Family friendly as well, even with our mischievous toddler!

Enjoyed my lunch with friends last week. First time eating here and was not disappointed. Got the Cullen skink and mixed tempura. Delicious and hot. Great service, car park adjacent to restaurant. Very nicely decorated everything was good!

Lovely setting and the eggs benedict was excellent - but unfortunately that?s where the positives ended. The service was genuinely poor. We were there for over two hours, but spent most of it waiting to be noticed.
Plates sat in front of us for over an hour. We had to ask for everything - for plates to be cleared, for the dessert menu, to place an order, and even for the bill, which never came. In the end, we had to go up to the bar to pay, and still no apology or acknowledgement. Plently of staff on shift, however they seemed disorganised and inattentive, despite the place not being particularly busy.
A real disappointment. Good food can only go so far when the service is this lacking.

I only popped in for a coffee and cake and a cuppa tea but the choices are super ? and I shared a strawberry tart with my mother-in-law and it was delicious ? this place is beautiful inside and out

Been here a few times, it's pricey but always had fantastic food, so worth it for a treat!

Have had many meals in this restaurant all excellent but unfortunately not this time. Prawn tempura brick hard batter far too thick, very disappointing. Cullin skink soup thought at the time nice, but was very sick on way home and all of soup coming up. Main course chicken brick hard. Waiting time between courses ridiculous. I always enjoyed this restaurant but not sure if I will be back. I felt the £71 I paid was a pure waste of money.

Myself and hubby had a table booked on Saturday 19th July at 3pm. We arrived slightly earlier and were met at the entrance by a very friendly and helpful gentleman who straight away showed us to our table. I was impressed by the lovely scenery from the large windows and the bright and atmospheric decor, just lovely. Straight away we were asked by another waiter for our drinks and shortly after our food. The staff I noticed were very professional and friendly. The menu had a really nice selection to choose from including a variety of vegetarian options. I chose the pate to start, which was smooth and creamy, then the cajun salmon curry, hubby had tempura chicken then penne chicken arribiatta. The portion sizes were big and unfortunately we just couldn't finish it all, however we were asked if we wanted to take the leftovers away with us, which was good! We didn't feel rushed and found the atmosphere very pleasant. Noone's table was sat right next to anyone else's either, which was a relief! We will definitely return and recommend to others. 10 out of 10 from us!

Staff were attentive. We were a family of 6 who were accommodated and seated quickly. Food arrived promptly and was delicious all round. Expensive but worth it.
