Avoid!! Took 2hrs 45 mins to arrive non weekend.
Eventually turned up and order was wrong. Ordered kids battered hamburger supper and got sausage. Chips were soggy, floppy and undercooked.
Called the restaurant and wanted all the food back before refunding which took another 20mins to collect. Wont be back!

Phoned delivery on Monday night at 18:23, no sign of delivery at 19:53, so phone up to be told delivery just getting made at the moment shouldnt be long. 90mins from order and still isnt ready to leave shop. Disgrace

Ordered a spicy haggis supper + 1 single haggis. My husband began eating his but discovered a piece of plastic under the batter.Thankfully he did not choke. I returned to the shop and I live a distance away and asked to speak to the person who prepares and cooks the food.The "Boss came to speak to me and took the plastic off the haggis / batter saying it was a human mistake and was the wrapping film from the haggis.She did apologise and offered the money back and gave me another single haggis. Not impressed with her attitude as not only I bore the cost of fuel but also my time at the end of a busy day.

At least 2 hours wait for the food. Phoned after one hour and 20 minutes and they said that they are busy and don?t have a driver or whatever like it?s my problem. Food was mediocre. Never again

We got a Icelandic fish supper and my hubby is very fussy about food but got to say it's the best fish he said he has tasted in a long time the fish it's self was very tasty and the batter was so soft the way we like defo if you want a change of fish go for Icelandic fish you only get what you pay for defo be getting this again

staff friendly the chips onion rings and jumbo haggis were not edible the batter was like rubber had to throw £14.00 out won't be back .

Called to place an order, the person on the other endof the phone was extremely rude. She was no better when I arrived to pick my order up.
I ordered Battered fish cakes none insight.
Salt & vinegar as requested, unfortunately the whole dinner had to be put in the bucket due to the amount of salt. You could actually see the amount of salt just lying in the box. Disgusting !!!
Bad service all round.

Ordered food from here tonight as our local chippy is closed. I have to say I could not be more disappointed. Waited over 2 hours for the delivery, and even then my partner?s food wasn?t sent. Despite them calling an hour after I placed the order to say they did not have Icelandic fish and what would we like as a replacement! Absolute shambles! Ordered before 7pm and her food arrived after 10pm! I ordered special fish supper and it was mediocre at best. Chips were undercooked and the fish was a sweaty mush. Will not be ordering from Golden Fry again!

This is a good chippy, but as other reviewers say, best to not get a delivery and just visit in person. Delivery and customer service when dealing with issues is a real let down. They need to remove themselves from the Mealzo app as well, as cannot fulfil orders placed there. Twice they have not had an item that has been listed. Last time I ordered, they called 15 mins AFTER delivery was due to be delivered, to say that they didn't have an item I ordered (I thought they were phoning as were late or lost!). I asked for an alternative that was slightly higher in price and they point blank refused! Bearing in mind we were now sitting at 1hr and 20mins from first ordering, and this is them JUST getting in touch saying that they dont have all items? I asked to speak to a manager and was told he was too busy. I said I'd wait. Manager came to the phone and didn't apologise or offer any explanation except that they were busy! Again, I asked as a goodwill gesture for missing item and very late delivery, could I get one special fish - not even two- and he hung up. In this day and age, customer service is key and actually just being reasonable and accountable isn't asking the earth, but no, not here.
Think they know their food is good, so just can't deal with the human side of providing a service. Such a shame. Mistakes happen I get that, just learn to deal with them in the appropriate manner and get some training on dealing with public without hanging up on customers.

Joke of a shop ordered at 8 and at 10 o'clock order still not ready for delivery , phone 4 times to be told the other staff lied to me that the order was on its way , avoid at all cost
