I popped in yesterday as I am staying in a holiday rental. I was impressed with the range of good and other items on offer. There was also some lovely warm food available in what looked like the extended part of the store. I say warm because it was not available to be tested which if you are on the move isn?t really ideal. I do have to say though that the service was poor. Despite heavily engaging with the older man who served me I left feeling I never want to go back. There were three older men in the shop and smiling and nodding and trying to engage them didn?t meet with a positive response. So when you say friendly in your marketing blurb I have to say I disagree. A good proposition spoiled by surly staff.

How very lucky we are to have this shop in our community! Even before the current Coronavirus crisis - which has seen them pull out all stops to keep the locals well stocked including offering free deliveries in the local area alongside new ?order ahead and collect? arrangements to ensure people are able to stay safe and stay at home - the shop has always been a credit to the village. Fantastic range of fresh produce from local suppliers, friendly and helpful staff - plus they?ve even got a hardware dept upstairs!!! It?s my Mum?s favourite shop - I suspect half the reason my folks come to visit us is so she can go to the Spar. Last but not least, always well stocked in the booze aisle

Had the best sandwich ever today from this shop. Fresh bread , and on a Sunday, roast beef,carmalised onions and mayonnaise, reasonably priced . Well stocked shelves friendly staff
