I was refurbing an old bike and had changed the brakes but, it being years since I had done it last took it back to Halfords to get a final check. Met by Kyle who was very welcoming and friendly. He confirmed that the brake were mostly fine but did a wee check and a few adjustments anyway. Also discovered I had a puncture. - which he fixed in about 3 minutes flat (I could have worked it out but it would have taken me ages). He signed me up for a low cost £15 maintenance contract - which covered the cost of the puncture and the brakes check - and another spare inner tube. Well done Kyle - very customer focused and made it a pleasure to do business.

Needed my lightbulbs fixed and fitted after a really bad experience someone else. Micheal at the Livingston branch could not have been more helpful. He explained to me why they were not fitted correctly and fixed the issue in minutes. Thank you so much, great service.

I booked my car in for a 5 point check and I have to say the service provided by Michael and Hugh was amazing! So thorough, and took the time to talk me through each check as it was being done. I will definitely go back again, and would highly recommend to others!

The staff in the bike shop department had poor product knowledge- unable to identify size of bikes when asked.We were told that we could bring in any bike for price evaluation to get a voucher in return to use in store if we book an appointment online. We booked an appointment for following day and took in our bikes to be told that it's only Halford bikes- waste of time and journey.

I took some car wash from an area where offers were being displayed. The product was reduced to £9.59 on the shelf but I was charged £10.79. I asked the assistant if the price was correct and he said the offer had probably run out and the shelf price not changed. Not good!

I sought advice from Hugh at Halfords re a child seat for my autistic granddaughter. He was very helpful. I needed the seat for Friday. He phoned round the stores found one in stock and Kyle picked it up on his way home. The seat is now fitted after a demonstration and support from Hugh ready for Friday. I can honestly say it was first class service. They really went above and beyond.I am also much better informed and am assured that my granddaughter is safely harnessed in the car whilst driving.So appreciative of the service. Well done Halfords for employing these two guys! Customer service amazing

I was very happy with the service I received from Hazel in store.I only needed some wiper blades but she made sure I got the right ones and was great in explaining why certain ones wouldn?t fit or operate properly.

Went in to Halfords in Livingston today with the intention of buying two bikes plus accessories. Had done the research and knew what we wanted, and when we spoke to the assistant he agreed that what we thought we wanted was right for us. The only thing we needed help with was understanding which frame size to get (otherwise I?d have just ordered them online!).While he was helping us another assistant interrupted him (on their headsets, from across the store). Another customer had come in and it seems she couldn?t help him. Everyone could see each other, so the other assistant knew we were being served. She interrupted us anyway, so it must have been something only this person could deal with. We weren?t bothered by this at the time; it happens, and we were happy to wait a few minutes for him to return (or for someone else to deal with our sale instead).He apologised and left us, and both assistants (I believe a third might have been involved at one point as well) dealt with this other customer. We waited 15 minutes before we realised no one was interested in returning to sell us any bikes, so we walked out.We?d been looking forward to going to get these bikes all day (or at least order them - we didn?t expect to be able to bring them home today), so we are two very disappointed (and bike-less!) individuals this evening.

Put my bike in for a health check today and the service was excellent. I was early for my time slot but that was not a problem Kyle was so friendly and helpful and gave may some excellent advice about maintaining my bike.

Had a bike from their last year, the build was disgusting the bike had passed a number of checks and yet their was no air in the suspension the treads were on the wrong way, the handle bar yip the wrong way , lost my valve caps , they said weren't on it , it's a brand new bike they were never removed . Only one person I found knew what they were talking about

I took my sons bmx scooter into Halford at Livingston today and from the word go Kyle was amazing! He was friendly, attentive, knew what he was doing and got the job done. He was inclusive with myself and boys and made sure we understood what he was doing at all times of the repair. He built up great rapport with myself and helped my son get sized up for a bike also. Kyle knows his job inside out from what I saw today and was a great leader and team player, definitely a supervisor and if not why? The experience I had today with Kyle getting the repair done will definitely bring me back to the shop in the future and I would now highly recommend to others looking to buy bikes, scooters etc or for repairs/maintenance as Kyle definitely excelled in his work today. Nothing was too much of a bother, he also fixed my sons brakes etc too without being prompted or asked. A+ 5 star service today. I wasn't even booked in but he fit the repair in so my son could get back on his scooter! Thanks Kyle for an outstanding service today, you absolutely done Halfords proud!

Great service from a first class team- Anna, Hugh and Euan.Also Wes at the auto-centre who recommended I visit the store as he didn't have the item I needed. Also said he'd fit the item if they couldn't but assured me they'd be able to help. Which they did and it's 5stars all round- great professional relationship between the store and autocentre, they all had confidence in one another's skills and worked well together delivering a 1st class service *****Had tried the Falkirk autocentre (and store) but unfortunately they didn't appear to have any understanding of customer service and I lost confidence, particularly the first individual at the autocentre who didn't appear to hear me when i said i could wait for the part, its as if he didn't have the inclination to help and didnt want the business. Falkirk autocentre also tried to get me to take a more expensive part even though the item I requested was in stock in the falkirk store!!!!!! No thank you.Recommending the livingston branch to anyone local or passing through :-) avoid Falkirk!!!
