My wife and I asked where we should go for the best fish and chips. The people on the dock (we were on a Virgin Voyage cruise) recommended HS-1. They couldn?t have recommended a better restaurant. The fish and chips were GREAT and the service was outstanding. You must try it.

I ordered food with the waitress taking my order and 90mins later it still hadn't arrived. When I went to enquire I was told they didn't serve food between 4-5pm which 1. I wasn't told and 2. Didn't explain why I hadn't got my meal given I had ordered at 3.45pm. Upon checking my order had been made at this time, they apologised and said they didn't know why it had happened and gave me my drink for free. I left not getting my meal and Icancelled my restaurant booking for later in the week as I wouldn't go back.

Great food in a lovely restaurant but service was poor.
Ate here on a Saturday night. There's no booking system, just turn up and see how long for a table. Told it would be a half hour wait so said we'd wait on the window seats and have a drink. There was quite a wait before anyone took a drinks order and another wait for them to be served. We noticed other tables having to ask for their drinks when their food was brought out.
Once seated everything was great, food was absolutely delicious. We had the Korean chicken strips as a starter and the fish and chips and Jamaican chicken burger for mains.
We continued to notice tables waiting a long time to be cleared and lots having to ask for the bill. One waitress was good at looking busy but not actually doing a lot!!!

Expensive and slow service. Food isn't up to much and they'll change the dish with telling you. Forgets orders, descriptions aren't accurate and they'll charge £7 for a lime and soda

After the other restaurant that I booked let me down by giving my table away, I decided to go to HS-1 instead and thank goodness I did. The food was delicious and the staff were so lovely! Highly recommend

We had a fabulous meal here for our last night before heading home.

THE BEST FISH BURGER OF ALL OUR TRIPS
In 7 trips to Scotland, and 6 to Ireland, this is without a doubt the best Fish Burger we have ever had!!!
We chose the Breaded Fish O' Fillet Burger, and the fish was not only delicious, but super crispy all the way through!
Too bad we didn't take a picture... but we still dream about it, and our mouths water every time :-D
