What a great find in Linlithgow. We found this place after walking out of The Four Marys across the street because of appalling service there. Cafebar 1807 couldn?t have been more accommodating. Really great, friendly service, and the greatest steak pie and mash I?ve had in a long time. Will definitely be recommending and returning to this lovely place.

Lovely place with nice decor, friendly staff, good menu selection and tasty food. I've given 4 stars for service because we waited a long time to get our food, but that could've just been a one off on the day we were there, rather than the norm. I'd go again, it was good value and the food did seem fresh and decent quality ingredients. I had the full breakfast, which had everything you'd want included I think. I didn't realise it would be fried (I prefer to grill), so I wouldn't have that particular dish again, but there were plenty of other options to choose from ??

It was a nice place, a very nice location near the castle and canal. We had a quick bite for lunch. Service was a little slow, and we had a reservation on the canal boat.

Booked for 23 people for a friends birthday lunch. Had a section to ourselves with staff who were so welcoming, very friendly and very helpful! The food was great and atmosphere felt private for our celebrations. Service throughout from staff was superb! Highly recommend ??????????

Great spot for casual dining on a Sunday evening. Large variety on the menu. We had someone in our party of six with dietary restrictions and they were not encumbered. Tasty food with good portions. Meringue was a delightful surprise.

Had a FANTASTIC meal here yesterday evening, everything was so delicious I couldn?t help but finish every little bit on my plates! I went for the BBQ Burger with sweet potato fries, the meringue for dessert, and I was impressed with the very wide variety of drinks available. Was served by the lovely Kirsty who was super friendly and nothing was too much to ask. They also have homemade baked treats available for takeaway(or sit-in), which were just as tasty! Prices are very reasonable and a nice cosy atmosphere, the next time I?m in Linlithgow I?ll definitely return, would highly recommend!

Gorgeous setting with seating available both inside and out on the patio.
The food was delicious, and the servers were ever so polite. I was able to pop in for a quick lunch and everything was beautiful

The food and service on the Cafebar was amazing. The staff provided an exceptional service and delicious food for a group of 16 people on a fieltrip visit for a group of MSc students. Everyone got drinks and food in no time adjusting to a wide diversity of international palates, all delicious. The staff was really attentive and kind, always attentive if anyone needed some drinks or anything else. We had the best time and we are really grateful for the experience

Restaurant is far to busy,seating in to close together,making for an uncomfortable experience.
Bar staff are poorly trained, pouring wine into warm wet glass is a basic error, bar area was untidy,giving a poor impression.
Female toilets were dirty and unkemped.
Overall a poor experience first and only visit.

Service was great but the food is ok-ish. Ordered a 20£ burger where the patties seamed to have been bought at Tesco, for crying out loud for that range I'd expect real meat.

Visited today (30/03/25) and waited over 30 minutes for a member of staff to take my drink order. Unfortunately nobody did.
