Congratulations to Branch Manager, Anna, and her team for their sensitive assistance when I turned up at the branch to notify them of the death of my mum. They seamlessly organised the switch of the joint account into my dad's name and generally looked after him with care and affection. And Anna helpfully sprinted after us into the street when we forgot to take the original death certificate.Thank you!

Always gets asked for id apart from that I have had no problems with this nationwide bank the staff are kind and helpful

My sister tried to transfer money to her solicitors to buy house she was asked for id which was either a passport driving licence or credit card at 78 years old she had neither so couldn't go ahead with her transaction the girl in office wouldn't accept any other id this is discrimination against the elderly we will try again if not accepted she will close her account.

Firstly, the Nationwide Building Society is just about the only financial institution that isn't closing High Street branches... Something to think about when you want to do 'traditional banking', however infrequently.
