I have had average service at times but can?t remember the last time I had abusive overbearing service by staff that are obviously not happy with the systems of their own business.

Booked my van in for a Monday appointment, phoned me on Thursday to tell me didn't know when they could do it. Four days after dropping van off! Overcharged me with a MOT charge on previous visit. Manager told me he couldn't refund. Regional manager told me he would sort this out. Still no resolve and is ignoring my calls. If you want shambles and dishonesty McConechys can gladly help.

I booked my car into Halfords Leven for a front wheel alignment on Thursday 14th at 2, when I arrived, I was told I would be contacted when the car was ready (on the phone I was not told there would be a wait, I was told that the 2pm slot was when the car would have the work carried out). I then went back to the garage to pick up the car late in the day and asked if everything was all okay and if there was anything I need replaced, and I was told that there was nothing wrong at all.I then drove the car properly the next day and it felt completely unsafe ? the car was not driving straight, it was juddering when moving off, the car was pulling heavily to the left and the steering wheel was sat at a thirty degree angle when driving straight. I phoned up on Friday to ask them to have another look, which they agreed to do. I was then contacted and told that the first alignment hadn?t been done properly and that the guy who done the tracking ?usually gets it right but he didn?t this time? (No apology for giving me back my car in an unsafe condition and not doing the job I paid for). I was told that the job was now done properly and the tracking was correct. I asked if my steering wheel was sitting straight which I was told it 100% was now sitting straight. Funnily enough when I get back in the car that night (Saturday 16th) the tracking is STILL not straight and the steering wheel is STILL sitting at an angle and STILL pulling to the left when driving.I then waited until Monday 18th to contact the garage about it as they?re shut on Sunday, and I was told I would need to bring it back to them to have another look. I took the car back down to them (third time in five days) to then be told there must be something wrong with the car even though I asked both times already if there was anything wrong or needing looked at. I mentioned that I was already told that nothing is wrong with the car and it?s been in twice already and the first time the job wasn?t even done correctly. The man I spoke to then took me over the technician who supposedly done the tracking on the car who told me that he didn?t notice anything wrong with the car when he done the tracking and clearly something else is wrong with it. Once again I asked why this wasn?t mentioned to me when I asked twice about the car needing any work. I also asked if the steering wheel was getting clamped down while facing straight on which the second guy said ?don?t f#cking insult me?.I said I never insulted him and that I asked a genuine question, which he responded by claiming that I was insulting him and suggesting that he can?t do his job properly (the two times the job wasn?t done properly suggests that, not me). I was then told I was ?being a f#cking pr#ck? and that the technician was ?f#cking sick of customers?. The technician then grew more and more agitated and began behaving in a threatening manner towards me, as if he was looking for a fight (bearing in mind I?m a lot smaller than he his and probably about half his age). I then began to leave to de-escalate the situation and the technician continued to shout at me as I was leaving. I then told him that I wouldn?t have made a complaint about his work if the job was done properly the first time, to which he responded with what sounded like calling my car a ?heap of sh#t?.Utterly shocking and clearly the other terrible reviews for this place are well-deserved.

I was booked in for a wheel alignment at 8.30am having work at 2pm thinking it's normally about an hour job so I'll be able to collect my car in time for starting work. After 6.5hrs I contacted customer service instead of the garage to put a complaint in as I hadn't been contacted to collect my car or phoned to be updated for any issues whilst completing the service creating a delay.All is fine I phone the garage to see if and when my car will be ready to collect to be told my car is available as soon as I phoned.Anyway as I walked into the garage to collect my keys I was confronted by the customer service man about contacting customer service before getting in contact with him. I explained that I had waited 6 and a half hours and haven't received any updates or communication in regards to the service being provided henceforth the reason for contacting customer service. The man got very defensive and tried to make me feel guilty by saying he had an issue completing the alignment due to another issue he had to fix free of charge and that if I had contacted him first he would have explained this to me.First of all it's not the customers responsibility to get in contact to see what's going on with their car, secondly to have put in and complaint and to be confronted collecting your keys is unfair why should I be made to feel like I've done something wrong for complaining about bad customer service. And finally if there was communication from the garage this could all have been avoided so I hope this is something that will be taken into consideration.This was my first and last time using halfords garage services and I don't think I'll be in a hurry to give them my money again that's for sure.Absolutely disgusted to say the least.

Don?t bother, booked appointment 6 weeks ago turn up this morning and no staff. No manager. Appalling customer service man on desk useless. Oh and if you didn?t know they don?t do the MOT here but your car is taken elsewhere! This is after joining the Halfords Motoring Club. Just don?t bother.

Booked a 10.10 MOT slot and dropped the car off only to be told it won't be completed until the afternoon at the earliest as they were busy.What is the point of booking availiable slots ? I asked ,told,"you will find thats a drop off time slot sir"Walked past a nearby garage an hour later and my car was in there!.Obviously they are subcontracting mots to local garages without telling customers.Called at 1345 car was ok.Not particularly impressed.

Too busy to mend a puncture ! They said it would be 2 days before they could fit it in.Luckily I found a small local MOT centre / mechanics that said, bring it straight down and they repaired it within 30mins.

My vehicle was in for more than a week for a new alternator ,they received the part on the Tuesday , I was fed tons of bull sh.t when I called for update then on the Thursday I was told my battery was being charged overnight, when I called on the Friday I was told the alternator was off but due to staff shortage it would be later next week before I got my car then on the Monday I was told my car would be done ,thankfully it was but terrible service and communication zero as when I called them I got a different story everyday ,not ideal or good customer service I expected alot better from them and will not be back

Just turned up at garage after a TPMS warning. Turned out to be a faulty tyre valve which they replaced, for free, within 30mins so very grateful indeed.

Did an MOT on my car in December, gave me a list the length of the Dead Sea Scrolls of failures and advisories, asked whether I just want to scrap or sell the car because it would be too expensive to fix. Took it to a local mechanic to fix the car up for very little money and it passed its MOT no problem, funny that

Do not trust these Bawbags. Day 1 'the system overbooked our MOT capacity, we can do it tomorrow' OK.. day 2, an hour and a half into the MOT ' our break checker machine has gone offline and it's connected to the internet'. 2 hours and 20 mins 'it's done, 5 mins and we will bring it from out the back' 20 mins later, car pulls up from main road, its been at Bolts Garage where the MOT was done. It was all a lie to buy time while they took my car off site without permission and sub-contracted the work to a local garage!

I've brought my cars here for over 18 years when it was hi-q and even last year when it changed to Halfords. But I'll never be there again, i went in for a mot and was told it need over £600 of work done but they could take sone money off if i joined their car club. I was suspicious of the work they said it needed, so i went to another garage and yes the car failed the mot but with only £100 of work needing to be done to pass

I turned up today after putting the wrong fuel in my car, although not a service they provide the manager, Steve, did not make me feel foolish for my mistake, he helpfully provided a phone number of a company that could help, and let me sit and wait until company came..I was even offered coffee! And had a lovely chat while I waited..the rest of the team had cars in and out, fixed within minutes of the customers arriving..I was very impressed and most certainly would recommend anyone to use this friendly garage..thank you for your kindness today.
